With Juliet in one particular scene (the "you're mine" scene) he is very creepy.

BUT, in a coupe other scenes he is actually strangely cute...

Like the final one, where he triumphantly marches around with his laundry.

Clauds his obsession with Juliet just stepped it up to a whole new level of creepiness IMHO. I loved him in season 2 and begining of season 3 but towards the end of season 3 and begining this season he was loosing his edge only b/c the same mind games with Locke were getting tediouis and then this eppi aired with Juliet and OMG I am affraid for Jack and Juliet after this! :eek2:

The "You're mine!" was creepy, but then I thought about it... and he can cook seemingly well... so I could deal with that.

The scene of him cooking a ham and all those baby vegetables actually creeped me out as much as the skewered Goodwin scene.

"You're mine" was the creepiest thing he's ever said, because I found it frightening that this man who has an utter cool and calm and diabolical mind absolutely lost it. Terrifying. But I love watching it!

Yes, yes. Yes. I love working with Michael, because he comes to set, and he's Ben. It's not like he does some sort of a creepy thing, but the minute the camera starts to roll, the minute we're rehearsing, he's right there. No weird warm-up, no actor's nerves, no neurosis, he just works. It's really gorgeous to watch.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I was just going to post how much more like Lechter he seems after this show. When he said "you're mine" to Juliet, I wanted to scream at the TV -- run girl. Get off the island now! Don't wait for a submarine. Better to be eaten by a Dharma shark than to stay on the island with this creep!

Ben+Ham... the most disturbing thing I've seen since... well... since he almost leaned in to take a whiff of Juliet's hair earlier in the episode.

I will not be surprised if I wake up screaming from a dream of Ben doing unspeakable things to baby vegetables.

'You're mine' was creepy but the way he stormed off like a stroppy teenager after was really damn funny.

He is terrific. Such great performances. Give him the Emmy already! It's truly amazing to watch him in an interview and then see his work. He really does become someone else.

I pray for Juliet every day, IT. I had never thought about the exact moment when Kate's character started to fall apart, but I think you nailed it. That's precisely when Kate stoped being an interesting character to then become a teenager from 90210.

Just a new level of creepy for Ben. We've never seen him infatuated before and what he will do under those circumstances. I think the creepiest part was that he was smiling throughout the whole episode!

Ben may be the greatest villain in TV/movie history. He's definitely better than Hannibal Lecter. He's better than Professor Moriarty. He's even better than Miss Umbridge.

The worst of it is, part of me is always rooting for him, while the other part of me is horrified.

Actually the more the writers write Ben creepy...the more i hate Jack! lol :biggrin:
Seriously i like Jack , very well written character....but he represents the good guy on the show, the hero, the guy who is supposedly going to win ultimatly (i hope he won't! lol)... and each time the writers makes him being good or win i'm exasperated...as if the good guy always had to win...so each time the writers are "mean" with Ben or with Sawyer it has the opposite effect on me...i'm rooting for them even more! And after the "you're mine" comment and the jack/juliet kiss...i was very pissed of so i'm a lot more for Ben than i was earlier! ( even if i was already rooting for him lol :biggrin: )

Yes!! I have never giggled so much at Ben in all the episodes where he made an apperance. He is still very creepy but I saw a different side of him.

The "You're Mine" was the creepiest, but second to that was his him STARING at her when she's looking through the microscope. It was so gross. And then the dinner scene, when he is soooo awkward. I mean, Michael Emerson himself is a smooth, lovely man married to a beautiful woman. What I mean to say is, I found Ben so unfomfortable to watch when he was acting all in love or whatever. But I'm sure in real life, MIchael Emerson does not seem creepy at all if he's being romantic. Therefore, Michael Emerson is an amazingly gifted man, to be able to make himself look soooo gross!

Yes, EXACTLY! That and Ben+Ham... Him giving her flowers and a big house... I read spoilers that said Ben had "chosen Juliet as his mate" so that was extra skeevy for me because all I could think of was: "Ew, ew, ew, ew he's... NESTING! Momieeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

However, there was one other eek moment to rival Ben and he wasn't even involved. When Harper tells Juliet she followed her to one of her clandestine meetings with Goodwin. "I watched you." :puke:

I was creeped out by that too. I was hoping she just meant I watched you go into the house or something, but the way she said it and the way Juliet looked after she said that I think proved that I wasn't right!

I always say this. Ben is so creepy its brilliant. And the goofy smile on his face when he was carrying the laundry...

Okay I think the "youre mine" line is scary but the "See ya at dinner" one was just as creepy lol!!
