I want it to be Charlie, of course, but if someone returns from the dead or vanished, and Locke is going to be surprised, then the person is likely to be someone related to Locke in particular. Boone was similar to a son (sacrificed son) to him, he was very fond of Walt and Charlie, somewhat awed by Eko, and then of course the dastardly dad that keeps turning up like a bad penny (no pun intended).

Logically it's Michael, but it would be an awesome surprise twist if it wasn't.

Anyway, don't get your hopes up. I have a feeling it's exactly who we all think it is.

I'm not saying I totally believe this but I was thinking last night about that very topic and what if...

it's the son of the woman his father was conning into marriage, who came to Locke for help. Which prompted Locke to confront his father about it and ultimately end up getting pushed out of a window. We don't really know much more about him, so he may or may not have died.

I just think that would be an interesting twist that a lot of people wouldn't necessarily see coming. But in the same regard I see the negative to that idea in that a lot of people may not even remember who that character is.
