Anyone else find it interesting that after everything that has happened Ben still has a hold on Juliette? I think there is something we have yet to see that instilled major fear in her to make her do what he wants without him even being around.

i don't know but there's definitly something else between these two...because after betraying him in the end of season 3 now she was about to do what he wanted her to do??? Sounds weird...there must be something more.

One like that really popped out at me was in the scene when Ben took Juliet to see Goodwin. While he was professing his love for her, he said "Do you know what I went through to get you on this island, and to keep you on this island". What did Ben do to get her on the island? And what has he done to keep her there? Had he met her before she got on the island and was already in love with her when she arrived? Anybody know the answers to any of this?

Interesting...of course i don't have answers...but at one point i thought maybe Ben's cancer came from the fact tthat he asked Jacob to cure Rachel... maybe there's a balance to respect in universe and if you cure someone someone else has to be ill... so maybe Ben's cancer came from that...just an idea!

That's a very interesting perspective, calypso! I never thought of it that way!

I personally believe that she just really hates him but at times of reason she realizes that his grand plan is better than the alternative... I believe that his plan will be for the good...

Juliet is in love with Jack. She knows what Ben will do to someone that she loves...she fears or feared what he might do to Jack if she didn't do what he wanted...at least that was what I thought. Interesting theory calypso...also, maybe the "higher ups" wanted to send Juliet back...and he did/said something to change their minds???

I think she knows how powerful Ben and what smart he is.

Kind of like The Green Mile by Stephen King.

Kind of like The Green Mile by Stephen King.

I suppose you're refering to this character:

Coffey is an enormous black man who arrives on the Mile for raping and killing two young girls. Despite the utter horror of the crime he allegedly committed, Coffey is favored by officers and inmates of the prison because of his incredibly gentle and kind nature, which also begins to make Edgecomb question Coffey's alleged guilt. Towards the end of the story it is revealed that he was innocent and that Wharton was the real perpetrator of the girls' rape and murder. He is afraid of the dark, and his character is akin to one of an innocent child, making the crime he is accused of very unbelievable. He makes little effort to avoid being executed, because he finds difficulty living a world that he considers to be very cruel. Coffey has the magical ability to heal others, which he simply refers to "as taking it back". He makes a particularly strong impression on Edgecomb after he cures his Urinary Tract infection.

I never see this ability in Ben on the show at this point...but apparently Locke and Jacob are good candidates...
