This has been a tough year for me with my only child moving out for college in January and my husband passing away in July after a decade long battle with muscular dystroply. I just wanted to let you know that LOST has given me something fun to look forward to, and I am deeply grateful.
I am impressed with the writing, production, actors, and even this website, and that's saying a lot. I don't find a lot of TV that holds my interest, and those shows that do are generally character-driven and with a story arc. A science fiction/fantasy based story is also high on my list.* Babylon 5, Alias, Firefly, Odessey 5, Jeremiah, and the Dead Zone are among those rare few that I follow(ed.) Unfortunately, Alias, and possibly the Dead Zone, are the only ones still in production, and neither one were due for new episodes until 2005. LOST has given my spirit a real lift.
Even if it weren't for my circumstances, I know I would love this show, as do my parents, and my daughter. Thank you for proving that quality writing still has a wide appeal on broadcast TV.
