Anyone else notice how for the first six episodes of season four Ben was held captive by the Losties, just like how for the first six episodes of season three Jack, Kate, and Sawyer were held hostage by the Others?

Just thought it was interesting. Maybe it didn't deserve it's own thread but...too late. Discuss?

...Just like he was held "hostage" in Season 2 when he was found as Henry Gale...and not only that...

1. But BOTH times Ben was held hostage he was tended to by Locke
2. BOTH times Ben managed to piss off Locke
3. BOTH times Locke breaks Ben's meal plates in frustration
4. BOTH times Ben takes the beatings with due "pleasure"

...thoughts?

And of course, Locke (who's my fav) is the one that let him out THIS time, but (I can't remember) who let Ben loose the 1st time . . . wasn't it Locke? ..... when he pulled Locke out from under the Hatch door and gained his trust?

Locke let Ben out temporarily in that episode you're referring to (Lockdown).

But ultimately it was Michael who set Ben free for good.

...YOU ARE RIGHT, SIR! AAAANNNNDDDD....since we are all there at that scene...did anyone notice that when Locke instructed Henry (Ben) to crawl through the air ducts in the Food Storage Room to the Computer Room, Henry (Ben) "falls" down and looks like he managed to "knock" himself out...right?...WELL when he "wakes" up he begins to ask the question "How long have I been...(out?)" but our boy Locke interrupts him (..because the countdown alarm is going off) and reminds him to get to the keyboard...Hhhhhmmmmmmm?....sounds a lot like Desmond's symptoms...

...I agree. BUT, in reality it was Locke's trust he earned first which in effect snowballed...
