I'm having so trouble with this whole Jin and Sun thing, was this episode a mix of flash forwards and flack backs?

And is Jin technically part of the Oceanic 6? Because The last commercials said that
we will know the last of the Oceanic 6, but Sun is the only one alive, but does Jin count too? If not, you is it?

Jin was having a flashback and Sun was having a flash foward :)

and also, why was Sun calling Jin's name while having the baby when he was dead?

Hallucination from the medicine? Perhaps?

It was the drugs. She was wishing Jin was there.

It looks like Jin died off the island, therefore he would be one of the Oceanic 6. Sun gave birth so it must be many weeks after the current time, when she's 9-10 weeks pregnant.

Hard to say since we don't know when Jin dies. If he died on Island, then I guess that means Aaron was in fact one of the Oceanic 6. If he died off Island then I guess he was one. I guess we'll have to wait until we know when he dies.

The Oceanic Six have in common the tendency to think that dead people are alive when they are medicated--this helps them further the plot twists desired by the writers. ;)

Thinking Jin was the last of the O6. Maybe he was murdered....by Mr. Paik!

No one counted Aaron.

1- Jack
2- Hurley
3- Sayid
4- Kate
5- Aaron
6- Sun

now, are those flashbacks of Jin or Flashfowards? Did he die on the island or did Mr Paik fake his death?

So if Paik is Sun's Dad then who was the woman that had the baby Jin gave the Panda to? Sun's sister?
I also thought Jin's were flashbacks & he wasn't married yet. Anyone catch if he had a ring on when paying Mr Toy Shop owner?

I just dont really think it would be Arron, because the Oceanic 6 are the people who were on the plane, and survived the crash.

And apparently they were flashbacks of Jin.

The podcast said we'd know the Oceanic 6 at the end of this episode, I think it must be Aaron, Jin's headstone has the date of the crash as his death.

Jin gave the panda to the Chinese Ambassador's grandchild, as a gift from Paik. He stated right after that to a nurse that he had been married for two months.

All that was pretty explicit unless you didn't get subtitles.

Jin's off island story is a flashback. It occurs just two months after he married (the year is 2000, I think), and he is buying the panda as a gift from Mr. Paik to the Chinese ambassador to Korea, whose daughter has just had a baby, the ambassador's first grandchild. Paik wants to cultivate the ambassador so that Paik Automotive can do business in China.

Could Sun have been calling Jin because he is alive on the island? Were they mourning him as if he is dead or away at the island (I miss you so much) and she has the tombstone to morn.

Also, Sun's flash forward is prior to Hurley going crazy. Could this be part of what sends Hurley over the edge?

I am still thinking that if Jin did get off the island as one of the O6,(which I strongly believe) and he and Sun went back to Korea ( cuz that is what she really wanted) good ol Mr. Paik would not be at all pleased at seeing the "new improved Jin"...and maybe had him killed...after all Jin lost the watch he was supposed to deliver to someone in LA....:) LOL

When it was revealed that the Panda story was a flashback to two months after their wedding, we knew TPTB had reshuffled the deck by introducing a flashback/forward which they'd never done before. This is brilliant. Explained because the episode is about the couple, not just Sun or Jin. This was new. And if most of the audiece wasn't supposed to think Jin is dead, they wouldn't have presented it that way.

He may still be alive on the Island. We don't know absolutly without question. Which is how it should be. Or we wouldn't be posting like this.....

My head's gonna explode.
Am I getting that right?!
Was this episode multi-flashing?!
Sun's future and Jin's past?!

I am assuming (and that's all it is) that Sun is in Korea
and I thought I heard Jin say something about being in
China.

Am i processing what we saw correctly?
Was there evidence in the Jin flashes that it was the past.
The only thing I can think of is that Jin's cell phone looked
kinda klunky and old.

Jin is in 2000, two months after he married Sun, making a courtesy call to the Chinese ambassador to Korea whose first grandchild has just been born. Paik wants to curry favor with the ambassador in hopes of doing business with the Chinese.

Sun is probably in 2005, given that she has had the baby and it looks a month or two old. She should give birth in July 2005, I think. It's possible that this is the one-year anniversary of the crash.

I'd just like to say that once, when I was very, very, very drunk, I started screaming MY OWN name at the top of my lungs.

So, it could happen... LOL

My two cents -- Jack mentioned at the trial there were eight. The Oceanic 6 are probably the ones who survived the rescue, thereby making two that didn't. My guess is Jin is one of the two. Aaron is probably the sixth. Perhaps Claire dies in the rescue too?

With the date on his tombstone saying 9-22-2003, I don't think that Mr. Paik could kill him and make it look like he died in the plane crash. Whether or not he is alive on the island, or really dead, I suppose is up for debate. However, I definitely don't think he's 06, since the general public thinks he died in the crash. I am thinking Aaron is considered the 6th. I could be wrong, but since he was technically a survivor, it works.

And TeeveesBella, what on earth were you drinking that made you scream your own name? I need some of that. lol

It was brilliant, indeed, and it was quite a twist even for spoil hounds like me.

And they tied beautifully into Sun-Jin on the island, too. We were reminded how far Jin had come since his Paik goon days.
I loved this episode..

You know.. TPTB did say that we would know who the Oceanic 6 were by the end of the last show. And I do believe that "without question" the ones listed above are them, however....... The way that Jack mentioned to Kate going back to "him" in the flash forward this season is erking.... There has to be something up with the baby Aaron. He could be the "him" they were speaking of....
