I'm so confused :redface: ...I need to re-watch...it's probably that they showed scenes out of sequence (as usual, even though Darlton "promises" that the FB's are always in sequence, well, they didn't say that about FF's...hehe)...

They didn't show scenes out of sequence. Jin's off island scenes were a flashback in chronological order and Sun's scenes were a flashforward in chronological order.

Rats. I can't believe I missed the first half and have to wait until tomorrow to download it and watch the whole thing. It seems like what Cardie said is right - Sun went forwards as Jin went backwards. Very sad, to now know he dies but not yet know how it happened.

I totally understand that Jin had a FB and Sun had a FF. But she obviously saw him/hallucinated which is why she calmed down a bit.

Same thing happened to me. Then I was embarrassed thinking I was one of those people confusing all asians, but it really did look like Jin. I even shouted "YES! he made it!", and my hubby gave me a funny look. I guess she was just hallucinating :(

I took it as the pain meds making her hallucinate. He walked by in the hall and was behind the mask right after. Seriously, though, if they start mixing FFs and FBs in the same eppy on a regular basis, I'm going to end up Hurley's roommate in Santa Rosa.

I think the confusion you are having is that they used DDK there to make it look JUST like Jin. The camera would cut away, show Sun's face, and then cut back to show a different actor. Of course you thought it was Jin. We all did. But I do think TPTB were intending it to be clear that Jin was definitely not there.

They had a flash of DDK from Sun's perspective and then cut to a more neutral shot of a man in the hall who was not DDK, looking puzzled that Sun had addressed him as Jin.

No, it was not DDK guys/gals. It was another Asian actor entirely. Trust me. The dude didn't even know why Sun called out, she just thought it was Jin when it wasn't; cuz she wanted him to be there. Call it a hallucination if you like, but on screen there was no DDK.

It was not Jin in the corridor, it was not Jin behind the surgical mask.

Jin is dead and was not at the birth at any time.

There was a guy in the hallway that was a young, handsome man who gestalted like Jin--but was clearly NOT Jin--whom I actually thought might have been the guy who jumped in the cab with the panda, because I had not yet caught on that Jin's was a FB. I didn't see DDK at all. (But I still insist that Jin is NOT dead! He's just on the island! And Sun misses him just the same way, because he might as WELL be dead; he can't ever be with her or the baby again.)

Call me crazy but I almost think the guy in the hallway was creepy...like maybe he was sent there by someone because Sun was having the very first baby conceived on the island? I almost thought he was going to try at some point to take her or the baby.

I agree. It was definitely not Jin but it was pretty amazing that she was headed for a C-Section until she thought she saw Jin and then all of a sudden the baby's head was crowning and she was able to have a normal delivery.

Well at least the people on this thread can now see that it was not Jin, and for that matter not DDK portraying the man in the hall. That was just for Sun to see the man walking by and think it was Jin and that he arrived for the birthing in time...but of course he had no idea who or what and continued on his merry way.

You're right it's this guy & he is not Jin. The guy at the hospital was also on the island.
