Possible but I don't think so. He was sleeping and then when he sits up, it appears he leans down and starts putting his shoes back on. Probably just doesn't like to sleep in them!!

The lima beans were a strange detail.

I thought they showed Desmond's feet for a long time too, but I think we might be looking too deeply into it. I can't sleep with shoes on either. And i had Lima beans at a Chinese restaurant earlier today.

I noticed his feet (though didn't think they focused on them, specifically) and my only thought was, "No way in hell I'd be walking barefoot around some strange freighter..."

the creators do like to have characters barefoot alot on this show though.

Well, after the Hatch implosion, Des woke up naked, so maybe his shoes came off last episode when he got unstuck in time again.

I noticed his bare feet too! Then again I always notice everything about Desmond! I just can't stop looking at the guy. He had just woken up, I assume that's why he had no shoes on, but to be honest with you, whether I slept on that ship or not I would always want my shoes on. Who knows when you are going to have to run for your life!
I wouldn't want Desy to hurt his feet!

Ji Yeon is basically the writers' idea of their "Abbey Road" episode. ;)

I did notice Des' bare feet, not bad looking at all :D but I don't think that it meant anything. Although given that he's on the ship of horrors he should wear his shoes in case he has to make a run for it ;)
