Where do you all suppose Frank might have gone on his errand with the helicopter? Was it the captain who said the only place to go was back to the island? Is he going to help Miles?

Hm, good question. Must be. Can't think of what else he would be doing....

I'm curious about this also. There's nowhere else to go except the island. Does he know of Miles' situation?

That is an idea. They sent him back to get Miles and get Ben. It seems like the people on the boat want to get out of there asap

Well, it's a big island with tons of people on it. I guess I should have phrased my question as, "Where on the island is he going?" And why, at that?

Erica, yep, there is a chance he is going to try to extract Ben. But if that were the case, I would expect him to have some muscle men with him.

He knows Sayid traded Miles for Charlotte.

And I would guess he is going back for the Daniel, Miles, and Charlotte....and Ben.

To drop Walt off in a remote location of the jungle perhaps
so that he can appear to Locke and say something profound?!

Well, if he's going back to the island, he's on a heading of 125, so he's flying SE. (305 Departure Heading back to the boat - 180 Degrees back to the island = 125) And if their last port was Fiji... Well, there a LONG ways from anywhere, except the Losties.

I bet if Frank's going back to the island, he'd bring with him some extra men. Probably not many because they need room for the 3 crew they left back on the island. But 4 total were obviously not enough to handle the difficulties they faced on the island.

And from the sneak peak, if the crew are so desperate to get off the boat, I'm sure everyone would be volunteering to go with Frank.

The thing is though, that Naomi's team assigned by Abbadon were just those 5 people. They might be on a special mission different from the rest of the freighter crew's mission. Who knows what kind of heirarchy exists on this boat. We just know that Widmore is at the top.

While there's probably no other island nearby that Frank could go to, there may be another boat. I doubt it, but it is a possibility.

We know full well that there IS another island, and for that matter, there could be more.

Good point. And despite the logical answer that Frank was going to the island, I'm not so sure yet because I don't trust the captain. Maybe because of that note that said not to trust the captain. But I trust some random note more than a person? Hmm...that note could've been from Michael, who may have been brainwashed by Ben...oh dear I've gone crosseyed.

Or at least that's what they want you to think.

For all we know they might be off the coast of Oregon.

Sure they do, people on the freighter keep either getting sick with this crazy delusional illness or they commit suicide. I'd want to get out of there quick too.

Oh yeah, I did forget about Keamy's comment. That does change things, doesn't it? The thing is, as someone mentioned above, Keamy was not a part of the team Abaddon assigned to Naomi. So, does he have the same interests as Frank?

Anyone else find it odd that neither Desmond nor Sayid heard the helicopter take off? It's not that big of a boat, and we don't know how far below deck they were being held. But still, they heard the odd thumping noises, so you would think that they might have at least heard SOMETHING from the helicopter too. But then maybe it's just me picking nits again!

Usually, when someone answers a question with a question they have something to hide.

Is it just Frank and Keamy who left?

It seems to me that the trips going to and from the island have been huge events. Not anything that could be referred to as an "errand". Naomi died the first time, the other four barely made it alive the last time, and look what happened to Desmond with the latest return. Certainly, no one could make that trip except Frank. I'd think they would want him to be safe until they really need him again.

There has to be some big reason Frank left. It could be that he wanted to pick up the rest of the team, but he couldn't do it alone.

I think this may be HUGE. This could be the begining of the end. They may be making their run at the island. That chopper can only hold a few people. Jack, Hurley, Kate and Sun are all definitely getting on.

I wasn't considering the small island with the Hydra off the main island as a seperate location/island. But yeah, you're right. They might be going to the Hydra island.

Agreed,

Heres how it goes:
Lapidus is walking away from the helicopter as if he has just
been on it. Not sure if he was though, but the heli is on the end
of the freighter, not much else over there except the edge of the
boat and the heli. He is holding the bag of canned lima beans.

Keamy appears to coming form inside the ship walking from the
opposing direction of the heli and Keamy shouts, "Lapidus"!

Then looks around almost to see if anyone else was around.
After he feels no one is around and he is close enough to Frank
he asks, "You ready"?

Frank nods and answers, "I'll be up". He continues to walk towards
the entrance of the boats interior and while Keamy adds, "Don't be
late Frank".

They both kind of sneak a look back at each other. Lapidus enters
the boat and Keamy continues towards the heli.

This kind of tells me that whatever they are doing is time sensitive
and that no one is to know about it.

Later the heli is missing.

I know where Frank went on his errand!

To get the cow! Seriously, I think that's where he went. It will solve their kitchen issues and Frank seemed very interested in the cow.

Good synopsis, Electomagnetic Anomoly, that was a sneaky scene. It sorta seems like Keamy is making Frank do something for him. Take him to the island perhaps? I hope Keamy dies eventually. lol.

You might be on to something there. Wasn't there a discrepancy in the distance of the boat from the island? One person said 40 miles and another said 80?

Perhaps there are two boats. Does the Kahana (sp?) really classify as a freighter? There doesn't appear to be a cargo hold and there's barely enough room for the helicopter on deck.

Frank to Sayid in The Constant

Listen. I don't know what's happening to your buddy, alright? But you gotta trust me when I tell you this. I am trying to help you.

A curious thing to say if he knows he's about to deliver to the island a mercenary (or mercenaries) who, as we've seen, is prepared to kill people on Sayid's side. I'm torn too :undecide:

Well that could explain Frank's seeming trepidation about being ready to help Keamy. I think Frank is one of the good guys, but he's currently working in the lion's den, so I think he needs to pick his spots for when he can actually do something to help the Losties.

Deep down I like to think the same about Frank. He's not a Widmore man. He's there because Widmore believes him about the Trench 815 being faked, rather than being a part of Widmore's mercenary crew.

Hey jennylee, can you please try to refrain from discussing future episodes?

I know that it's a risk when reading these boards, but hearing those names and what happened to them before seeing the upcoming episode (living in Sweden means we're two weeks behind) resulted in a far less entertaining Lost viewing.

Sorry you were spoiled, but I'm not sure what to do... once an episode has aired in the US, we are cleared to talk about it anywhere on the board. Perhaps you could raise the question with the admin and mods, in their question section? I think you're going to find that this is common practice all around the site, so without a discussion with the higher ups, you'll run the risk of being spoiled everywhere you go. We are encouraged to continue ongoing discussions in threads that already exist, so we don't fill up the board with duplicates.

You're welcome. The mods are genuinely willing to help out, so I would encourage you to ask their ideas. Other options would be to post in the Sweden board in the International terminal and/or to post in Lost Talk to ask other non-US posters how they utilize the site without getting spoiled. Certainly there are plenty of others like yourself who are here.

Wish You Were Here - In the UK section of the International threads, we used to have our own specific episode threads, because the episodes aired in the US long before they did in the UK. We had the added complication that episodes would be shown here on satellite tv a week before being shown on 'terrestrial' television. We created threads (with the mods' approval) for each episode, the titles of which contained spoiler warnings for those UKers who hadn't yet seen the episodes. It seemed to work pretty well. The practice seems to have died out in season four, and that's probably because the gap between the US and UK airings has decreased markedly.

I'd certainly take up jennylee's suggestion and see if the mods have any suggestions.

Peace
M
