In the same conversation in which she convinced Sun to stay, whe said she had to leave. Almost as it were a life and death situation for herself as well.
Go Goodwin!.

Oh, please spare me. Do all the women have to be mommies?

Not personally, but I have been in many threads bemoaning how tptb decided to turn a bunch of strong, morally complex female characters into incubators. Even when Kate turns out not to be pregnant, she adopts a kid.

She ain't preggo. She just said:"More than anything else" rephrasing almost perfectly what jack said once about leaving the island."More than anything in the world". I mean, WTF would you stay on a freakin' island when you can go back to your friends and familly? You guys sometimes try too hard to find stuff that is not 1/3 possibly relevant

Yes; the island makes people ultra-fertile. And I don't think anyone on the island has protection.

I know that, but that's a story-telling choice the writers made, just like they made a choice to have nearly all of the men and some of the women have daddy issues. I just don't like the same story elements coming up again and again.

I had no deeper thinking than Juliet being pregnant would be an explanation to why they went to the trouble of making a big deal of Juliet and Goodwin's affair.

Just a passing thought, nothing more.

It's a great supposition, and I have thought it possibly the thing in the envelope Juliet was going to show Amelia..."Something bad is coming..."

But then I'd find it hard to believe that she is carrying Goodwin's baby while making out with Jack... though maybe she is hiding it from everyone to hide it from Ben.

She wants to get back to Miami, where her sister and nephew are.

I love this idea, and it does make sense! (As a preggo lostie myself, I have babies on the brain).

BUT, in the end I think she's desperate to get back to her sister, and away from BEN...

After watching tonight, I did find myself wondering if she could be #06

imfromthepast,

That is a very interesting idea! If it is Goodwin's baby, she would have to be farther along in her pregnancy than Sun is. She had been separated from Goodwin since he went to stay with the tailies right after the crash. So she would be at least three months along in her pregnancy. That would explain why she is so desperate to get off the island and why she seems to have completely sold Ben and the others out.

On the other hand, this would be very hard to accept. Since she is a fertility doctor, I believe she would understand the dangers and would not put herself at risk. Also, since she would have to be further along, you would think that she would be acting even more desperate by now. I guess we'll just have to watch and see if Juliet starts to exhibit any of the symptoms she mentioned to Sun.

Juliet want to get off the island 1) to see her sister and 2) to escape Ben who feels she is his.

I agree totally. The thing with her and Jack kinda pissed me off. They're just something not right about these two being together. Don't even get me started on the whole Juliet and Ben ordeal.

Very true. And the only two people scurrying around to collect condoms and other birth control would have been Jack and Sawyer. Sawyer would have just used the condoms to keep the cigarettes dry. Jack probably used them to staunch the bleeding on Boone - condom tourniquet.

So...why hasn't Juliet told everyone to stop having sex? There are plenty of extras running around, who knows what they do off screen?

Well, she did put herself at risk. As anyone besides Sawyer knows, there is no 100% guaranteed protection from pregnancy besides not having sex. So what if she did get pregnant? Why not tell? Well, maybe because Ben wants her so bad he killed her lover. Now, if you knew you were pregnant, on an island controlled by a mad man obsessed with you, what would you do? Do whatever you can, without revealing your pregnancy, to get off the island.

I'd expect Juliet to be intelligent enough not to have unprotected sex with Goodwin.

I do not think it is possible for Juliet to be pregnant. The last she saw Goodwin was 100 days ago, the day of the crash. If she got pregnant the night before, she would be 3-4 months pregnant, at just about the beginning to middle of second trimester, when she would be showing signs of sickness or dead already.
