I'm sure I got the quote wrong, but that line in itself emphasized a point that we have seen in most of the flashforwards... Assuming, and I know it is a big assumption at this point, but assuming that Jin did not in fact die, which the phony date on the headstone leads me to believe, we are given yet more evidence that whatever transpires on the island over the next few weeks, and/or whatever deal or compromise the Oceanic 6 make in order to get off the island, is so serious and finite that these people are willing to do things they would never have dreamed possible in order to maintain the lie. And that, my friends, is one long-*** sentence.
