View Full Version : Gault Is Ben's Man
MPmom 03-14-2008, 01:31 AM That would be so perfect!
This might also explain the note, if written by Michael, to warn his former friends.
Maybe these people all work for Widmore, and came expecting a certain scenerio. But Captain Gault is working for Ben and has a different primary objective. And he's drivin'.
Electromagnetic Anomoly 03-14-2008, 01:36 AM That would be cool.
Next week's episode is
called Meet Kevin Johnson. Before the last minute deal on
the writers strike this was to be the season finale. So if we
were gonna get left hanging next week I can only assume it
would be a great episode.
Perhaps Michael came aboard their boat and and could tell something was
wrong and assumed the name Kevin Johnson to not be linked to
815 or the island he just left.

didn't they say that they were only going to show 7 episodes, even though 8 was in the can,,as 7 was the more natural to end on?
I don't think you have to spoiler font the name, as he was introduced by name to Sayid and Des.
I think that would be an excellent twist, since right now, Michael is looking so obvious it's just painful.

I'm pretty sure they were planning on showing all eight episodes.
The March Hare 03-14-2008, 03:07 AM Wow! I hope you're right!
briar910 03-14-2008, 03:11 AM That would be a really cool twist just because Michael is so obvious and also the captain does seem to be very untrustworthy and completely apathetic to what is happening to the crew.

wait, so after those are shown is it a hiatus? or a finale?
TimeEnslavedFool 03-18-2008, 01:35 PM they decided they're going to show all 8 episodes, since the writers' strike is over, and they're going to be making more episodes this season. There will be a break after show 8, and then a few more (4 i think). ;)
duckab234 03-18-2008, 03:34 PM the podcast clearly stated that in episode 7, we would learn who ben's man was... also, they avoided answering any questions in previous podcasts as to whether or not michael was ben's man on the boat, because he is.
sorbo1980 03-18-2008, 04:36 PM Also, Ben told Locke to "sit down" when he told him who his man on the boat was. Why would Locke sit down for Gault, someone he doesn't know?...or so we think!!

More likely though is that they completely avoided answering if Michael is Ben's man on the boat because that would ruin the "surprise" if he is when it's eventually revealed who the spy is.
Bugul 03-18-2008, 05:15 PM How would it be better for Ben's man to be a new, previously unknown character than to be Michael who has a long history with the survivors and the others? Also, if the captain was Ben's man, what in the blue hell is Michael doing on the boat?

Upon returning to the real world Michael discovers that his job was given to someone else and he can't get another job. He does any menial labor job he can to help support himself and Walt and eventually winds up cleaning freighters. It's just his bad luck that gets him on board a ship that goes back to the island he's forever trying to avoid.
...or he's Ben/Widmore's man now and is a spy for one of them ;)

5 MORE HOURS OF lOST AFTER THE EIGHTH!
The finale will be two hours but will be shown in one hour episodes because Grey`s anatomy is cutting into their scheduled time.
DykeZuki 03-18-2008, 07:30 PM It's Michael. Why would Locke have to sit down while Ben explains this.
Also, For a moment lets say that the coordinates that Ben gave Michael actually took Michael a year or two back into the past (Walt's growth spurt could be proof of this) and the only way for Michael to get his life back is to get back to the island and be found as one of the surviving members of the Oceanic 6.
Michael is as desperate to get back to the Island as Jack was in his FF and Ben is the only one that can help either of them.
