Okay...

In "Flashes Before Your Eyes" we learn that the universe has a way or "course-correcting" itself. That's essentially what Fate is, right? Then, In season 3's finale, we see that Jack believes that they "weren't supposed to leave" the Island. SO, assuming Jack is right, and that "we" means the Oceanic 6 (which includes Sun), doesn't that mean that Sun was meant to stay on-Island while pregnant...and doesn't THAT mean that Sun and her baby are supposed to be dead???

So the next question is, why is she still alive? Is it because:

a) The O6 leaving the Island caused some sort of disturbance in time and/or the fate of the universe and they are operating and existing outside of Fate's power somehow...

OR

b) Fate just hasn't caught up to Sun and Ji Yeon yet.

OR

c) Not ALL of the O6 weren't supposed to leave the Island, only some...according to Jack, at least Jack and Kate.

Thoughts?...

Am I missing something?

hmmm. dunno. But when Jin said that "It HAS to be a Panda" I was thinking that maybe it had something to do with some sort of course-correction. Just like desmond was always specific about who had to do what in order to fulfil or avoid his visions.

Well the Panda thing was in a FlashBACK, and I believe the Panda is some sort of good omen deal with the Chinese...

Why does Sun being a part of the O6 mean she and her child should be dead? I don't follow your logic at all.

I think what he's trying to say is that according to Jack, the losties weren't mean to leave the island. Maybe they were destined to be there. In that case Sun and her baby should still be on the island because they were destined to be there. So if all pregnant woman on the island die, then Sun and her baby should've passed on because they were meant ot be on the island.

I hope I got that right. If not, I'll mind my own beezwax next time.

I see where you're going. Since the beginning of the season I have felt that the O6 have denied their destinies by leaving the Island, which is why they are unhappy. Only when they return to the Island will things get back on "course" for them.
