Jacob is Jacob, if it was anyone else why would they change their name? if your an all powerful being why would you need to change your name. If it was just a matter of the writers changing the name we would probably not have even got a name. So once again Jacob is Jacob.

Silly people. Jacob has been before us plain as day at the end of every episode. He's the little "Bad Robot" dude. Don't believe me? Just sit right through to the very end of the show: Jacob will scream "bad robot" and then scurry away.

I wouldn't say that, I do think he is without a doubt the oldest person on the Island, I would suggest he is an original inhabitant of the Island or at least the first person to find it after all the original inhabitants died after the volcano erupted.
