Why did Jin put the tie on the panda? Is that a cultural thing or was he just trying to act like he was a lower-class citizen so he removed it? Anyway, just thought I'd ask.

Also, didn't you think Jin was going to get nailed by a car in the street after his cab was stolen? And do we know the cab thief?

I thought Jin put the tie on the panda because he was a boy. He put the tie on the panda right after he asked if the newborn was a girl or a boy. He looked around saw that he was wearing something blue, and put it on the panda to make it a gift that he could give a little boy.

I didn't recognize the cab driver. I think he just put the blue tie on the panda to personalize it, after he found out that the baby was a boy.

I think that the cab driver was just a random stranger. Also he added the blue tie to the panda after he asked if the baby was a boy or a girl in order to make the present more personalized. Had the baby been a girl he would have probably added a pink tie to the panda.

...Well here are my thoughts...

...Jin asks the guard at the door of the maternity ward if it was a boy or girl...THEN he swipes the BLUE ribbon from a flower arrangment and puts it on the panda bear...

...Cab Thief...IF you watch the scene(s) frame by frame you can mayber come to these conclusions:

...Jin has cuff-links on...so HE IS WORKING FOR Mr. Paik & FRESHLY married to Sun...doing his duty...delivering Mr. Paik's condolences...etc...

...NEXT...I watched the WHOLE FB in slow frame and this is what I gathered from the "incident" with the cab...

....AND when Jin hails the cab, the cab pulles up and the driver of the cab looks remarkably like Jack Shephard with the signature sunglasses and all then all of a sudden "BAM!" Jin gets knocked out of the way, his phone falls to the groud and the "cab pulls forward?..." a mopedist DIRECTLY runs over Jin's phone (as if pre-planed) then while picking up his (Jin's) phone he looks at the cab as a patron boaords and takes off...The PERSON WHO BOARDED the cab was not the same person who bumped into Jin...CHECK OUT THE FB...they where two different people...

........HHHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Jin had 2 ties. 1 blue, 1 pink. He drops the pink tie on the chair right before he ties the blue one on the panda.

Jin had two ribbons a blue and pink, he asked if it was a boy or girl and put the appropriate color ribbon on the panda. I believe you can see Jin tossing the pink ribbon aside if i remember correctly

....YA'LL are right about Jin having two ribbons with him....I had a couple of beers in me when i was watching that scene over again last night...

...YES our alcoholic-pill-poppin'-beard-bearing Doctor! I swear it looks like Jack is the cab driver...if you have the EP DVR'ed, check it out in frame mode it's wild...
