Wow! I'm gonna watch it again before I give it my final rating, but right now I'm thinking 10 and best of the season!

I gave it an 8. Yeah, me right? Surprise, surprise.

I actually liked tonight's episode for the most part. Cool hero Dan, concerned Charlotte, nice reunion scenes, the off island stuff was particularly good. Still bitter that Charlie wasn't one of the O6 but Jack learned Claire is his sister so that was cool. Sun standing up to daddy was awesome and Hurley getting freaked out by the numbers again was interesting. Sayid seeing Nadia for the first time was also great. Also liked Jin and Sun seeing Michael again and the explosives on the freighter was pretty freaky. Desmond saw Aaron but said nothing unfortunately. There were even some laugh out loud lines. ("Jesus Christ is not a weapon")

There was enough to feel good about in this ep that it overshadowed the stuff I hate (like Jack). Of course the bloody A-Team had to go off into the jungle while the B-Teamers help with the women and children, but hey. That'll never change. Sayid is definitely A-Team now, and Sawyer's not just looking out for himself any more and I like him now. Overall better than I expected (but then my expectations are so low these days).

The only thing that saved this episode from being a 6 or lower was Jack finally finding out that he was related to Claire, oh and finding out that Keamy is wired to blow the freighter!

I gave it a 7.

:eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: Ben shouldn't have given up his batton, he might need it. It was nice to see Richard return to his hostile clothing, it just suits him so much more, wait a minute could there be 2 Richards?

9/10

I thought it was a terrific episode and a great for the short hiatus before the finale. I really enjoyed the reunion between the Oceanic 6 and their families. I was really happy to see Nadia and Sayid reunited. I thought it was extremely well written, lots of great dialog and terrific scenes. I can't wait until next week! :)

Set lots of things in motion for next week.

Will the island be moved via a "Casimir Effect" wormhole?

I have it a 9/10

I gave it a 10 because of this:

the preview said: in two weeks we get a full blown 2 HOUR finale just like it's supposed to be! YIPEEEEE!!!!!

You guys and gals may have know this but I didn't so I'm totally stoked!!!!

I gave it an 8 because if I gave it a 10 I'd probably need a higher scale for the last two hours. I have a feeling it's going to be incredible--on level with or even better than Exodus parts one and two from Season 1, which still makes me cry.

Hey, what a surprise...... this was good, the writting, the acting, so much better than the last two weeks. It was even believable. I will watch again before I give a number.

Riveting. A lot of great scenes that have been a long time in the making. What would it be like for the Losties when they returned? What would be Jack's response to learning that Claire was his half-sister? Where are the other Others?

Other action both on and off the island had me glued to the set, and I was aware of how excited I was to be viewing this episode. I had my expectations set low for this episode, as I figured it would be used by the writers mainly to set up the two-hour finale. The writers did that nicely, but the episode they made for Part I of the finale stands as a great episode on its own. I gave it a 10, and I cannot wait until the season finale.

I gave it a 9. I thought that it was really pretty great for a set-up episode! It was fast paced. And Jack wasn't nearly as much of a jerk as I thought that he would be after having seen the sneak peaks.

My favorite part (the part I had to keep rewinding over and over before finishing the episode) was Jack's scene with Claire's mom. I loved that scene! I totally thought that it was bone-chilling. I loved Jack's reaction too! I would have loved to have seen Kate's reaction if she had over heard their conversation--especially since she had Aaron in her arms. But still, it was an awesome way to handle the reveal!

Can't wait for the rest of it!

I felt exactly the same way, lockesmith. I was very impressed that they were able to take what was clearly functioning as a set-up for the finale and yet make it satisfying in itself. Some great emotional moments that grounded it on the character front, especially the O6 flash-forwards. But the island stuff was great too (and the Others are back! Yes!).

Great episode. 9.

Amazing scene with Jack and Claire's Mum. I loved the fake-outs from Darlton -- they kept moving the characters around like chess pieces making us think "oh, so that's how they end up together on the helicopter, but wait..." and then they'd move a character again. Very interesting.

Orchid and Ben. Cool.

Sun? Amazing.

Sayid and Nadia? AMAZING.

Whispers/Fake-out Whispers? Awesome.

The C-4? I'm scared. But awesome. Michael, Sun, Jin -- almost creepy. (Hello, mobisode?)

Negatives? Locke. Gah, hate him.
Funeral was an interesting choice for this episode, but I thought it was a nice touch to show Jack saying he loved his dad. I thought the surprise party was a bit of a weird move for this episode, maybe.

Other than that, I was impressed how much they fit into this one episode. The only people missing were Claire and Christian (and Charlie) but, hey, they're "dead", right?

Giving it a 9 because of:
The rescue!
Richard
Miles
Oceanic 6 liars
Hurley's mom and dad. ("Jesus Christ is not a weapon")
Michael
Daniel and his rescue boat
Ben always has a plan

10. It was great. This season has been rocking. I know that earlier in the season a lot of people were worried that the flashforwards may spoil island storylines but it this case the flashforwards increase the suspense in the island story; we know that 6 people get off the island but right now they are all at different places, everything is in a state of chaos, I can't wait to see how they all come together. I'm also excited to see how they setup the next season. There is no place like home, sure but There is no show like Lost. The level of storytelling was epic.

9. It made me feel much better after last week... (seriously, that scene where Locke's victory over the wheelchair is practically stolen and given to the Island depressed the heck out of me)... these are the people I care about and I can care about them again.

The funeral scenes were everything I expected them to be and more. I continue to love the flashforwards. Matthew Fox was amazing and they did justice to the siblinghood reveal. The pieces just fall into place so well in his post-Island story.

They even got the dosage of comic relief just right with Hurley's parents.

I love Nadia and I'm so sorry we're going to lose her. I've always loved Andrea Gabriel in the part, she plays such a nuanced strong/sweet character. Love her.

It feels like I've seen everyone and everyone mattered... and that's probably because I HAVE seen everyone.

Michael's huffiness with Jin and Sun (HEY! I'm trying to atone for murders here, give me some respect!) weirded me out, but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's episode.

PS: Oh and Desmond's non reaction to Claire not being there. I don't get the guy.

Loved everything Jack, but you knew I would, especially loved his interactions with Margo and Carole Littleton. Foxy did an excellent job.

Loved how the showed the O6 split toward the ending jumping from Sun on the freighter, to Kate and Sayid, to Jack and Sawyer (loved them together), to Hurley with Locke and Ben.

Everything is sort of "normal" in a weird way, KWIM? And it was all in the little details like Hurley's parents continue to be Hurley's parents, but Hurley freaks in empty house. There's this weird invisible current underneath the O6's interactions.... I'm not explaining it very well, I think.

I'm too sleepy. Anyway. A 9 from me.

Totally excellent "ten" episode, as is expected from Darlton. Even the flashforward stuff was good. I didn't expect them to let Jack find out he was related to Claire, but if he believes it (which he seemed to) then that further explains why he really wants to go back to the island, to rescue her. Sun was particularly awesome the way she "pwned" her father. There was really just too much to comment on so I'll leave it at that

I gave it an 8. It was very good , but i guess i big up one's before the finale too much. It was great to see how the 6 get off the island and meeting their loved ones again for the 1st time. Also loved the c4 on the frieghter twist. Woop! Cant wait for the next one!

Absolutely amazing - a 9++ from me - and I have no doubt the 2-hour finale will most likely be a 10 :D

Loved all the emotive reunions, Jack finding out about Claire (such a great way for Claire to play a huge role without being present in the episode), Richard's reappearance in his hostile-looks, pregnant-Sun showing her daddy what's what, and am intrigued about the purpose of the Orchid and why the O6 have to lie. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of Claire, or Desmond not wondering where she is, when Sun arrives with Aaron, and Michael's lines could've been better/convincing - still - can't wait for part 2! :)

A solid 10 from me. I loved every single millisecond of every single scene. Lots of wonderful character moments, and those are always what I crave the most. Brilliant script, fabulous performances from everybody, the score was gorgeous, the direction and cinematography were superb.... altogether a beautiful, satisfying, and truly outstanding episode. In a word, perfection. Thank you!

9, great episode. It was mainly setup and it did feel like getting 1/3 of a full episode, but I think these are the flash-forwards we have ALL been waiting to see. The actual first moments of the O6's arrival, the press conference, the reunions, and all the early business they tend to.

Such a good episode. It made me say "Hooray for Sawyer!" and then "Hooray for Daniel!" and then "Bite me Sun!" and made me wonder how Desmond sleeps at night and the FFs were so great. Jack and Sawyer together is such great television it's a shame they've not given us more of that and less of the triangle B.S. Ben constantly manipulating Locke is becoming comical and I can't wait to see how that turns out. The scene between Jack and Claire's mother was enough to rate the episode a 10. At least once a season LOST gives you one of those scenes that grab you by the throat and dare you NOT to feel it and that was definitely a throat grabbing scene. Good job Foxy!

I gave it a 10 which for me is the exception to the rule. This was probably one of my favs because it moved the whole time. The flashes were a bit of a trip but they made the epi all the better.
While I know the finale will be great I know it will also give us a whole new set of questions. Great stuff.

A BIG 10!

I was shocked to see that Claire's mom is alive and kicking! Poor Claire!

I loved that Jack was wanting to help but that he was struggling (reality).

I loved when Sawyer grumbled that he had to go with Jack......but he did it!

I cried a lot too!

That was a great episode. I've always felt that when the entire core cast of Lost is featured, the episodes are so much more fulfilling. I think all the characters were great last night, and I have finally started to see again the love and respect between them that has been missing for most of season four.

I loved how the Losties pulled together to look out for each other last night. I've really missed that aspect of the characters. When Jack learned that the chopper had headed into the jungle, and not knowing what he might be up against, he asked Kate to come with him to track the chopper. I was happy that he left the Losties at the beach considering that he didn't know what he might go up against. As Jack and Kate end up in the jungle, Sawyer is heading back with Aaaron and Miles. I LOVED the scene between Jack and Sawyer because 1) It wasn't about Kate. Thank God. The shipper stuff has been killing me; and 2) Jack and Sawyer really do get along. I like that both men called each other out on their mistakes. Sawyer ribbed Jack for not listening to Locke and Jack ribbed Sawyer for not wanting to sit around and do nothing. It was typical Jack and Sawyer from Season One, and I missed that about them. The part I liked is that the minute the two had their little exchange, they immediately put their differences aside. I was a little confused at Jack's statement that he put Sayid and Desmond on the chopper because I don't recall that scene at all. I recall that Sayid opted to go first. Perhaps someone help with that because I don't remember Jack telling Sayid to go to the Freighter. Regardless, Jack felt responsible for putting them on the freighter and went to go after them. I liked how Sawyer called Jack stubborn, which he is, but Sawyer is equally stubborn and refuses to allow Jack to go alone. I like this new Sawyer, and I don't agree that Sawyer is becoming Jack or Jack is becoming Sawyer. I think both men have attributes that they admire in each other and both are adapting.

The Locke, Ben, and Hurley scenes were good too. I enjoyed how Locke was right on top of Ben in those scenes like when Ben went to open the suitcase, and Locke intercepted him and checked out the contents himself. Again, that was remnants of the first season Locke. Unfortunately, Ben is still calling all the shots because Ben has all the answers. Locke was forced to allow Ben to take the lead. Jack gets criticized consistently for trusting the Freighters to do what they want, but it's because they have more information than he does. The same was true for Locke in that scene. Ben knows about the Orchid, and Locke doesn't. Ben knows what the men are there to do, and Locke doesn't. To some extend, Locke can't intercede to stop Ben without putting himself at risk. I get that. I don't consider Locke an idiot for trusting Ben in that moment. What else can he do? I do love that Locke said out loud what I had been saying for months, which is "When do you ever tell the whole truth?" Exactly. If Ben had been honest with the Losties in mid-season three, the events of the freighters coming to the island would never have happened. On the other hand, I think Ben knew the freighters were coming from the beginning. Why have Michael on board? How did Naomi find the island long before Jack had the SAT phone? I blame everything on Ben.

It was great how Sayid arrives on shore to ferry the survivors back to the freighter. I liked how Daniel stepped up and wanted to save them. Daniel is one of the my favorite freighters (the other is Frank). It was also wonderful how Sayid immediately opted to go back for Jack when he heard that Jack was heading to the chopper because he thought Sayid might be on board. THAT'S the stuff that I've been missing between the characters. Each person Jack, Sawyer, Kate, and Sayid were willing to go back for one or the other to protect and defend. That connection between the characters is important to me. Sayid informs Daniel to ferry the survivors back six at a time while he goes for Jack. Kate leaves Aaron in the care of Sun, and Juliet makes sure that Sun is one of the first ones off the island. I also enjoyed that moment of mutual respect and trust between Sayid and Juliet. He's going to trust her to get the job done.

I love Frank Lapidus, and it's nice to know that he did want Jack to follow the chopper when he dropped the SAT phone. It was amusing that he wanted Jack to follow the chopper in order to rescue him. I just found that funny. I think my favorite scene of the night was when Lapidus told Jack and Sawyer that he would fly them out of there because Keamy's men were heading to the Orchid and were going to kill everyone, but then Sawyer told Jack that Hurley was with Ben. Both men could have saved themselves and gone back with Lapidus, but BOTH men opted to risk their lives to go for Hurley. Like I said, I miss the Jack / Sawyer interactions, and I was thrilled that Kate was no where to be seen.

The off-island moments were bittersweet for me. I don't like the idea that I don't know what happened to the Losties. It would appear that all the Losties were transported to the Freighter, and maybe the Freighter blows up with all on board. That's a guess, but that would explain why only Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Locke, and Ben are alive. Four of those people become the Oceanic 6. I'm also guessing that Jin gets Sun off the Freighter with Aaron, adding them to the Oceanic 6 roster.

I was happy to see the reunions between the families. Perhaps one of the most anticipated moments for me was Jack finding out about Claire. That was a great moment, and the stunned look on Jack's face when he heard the news was really well done. It explains his guilt towards Aaron. I'm anxious to see how that plays out in the next season.

The episode ended great: The Losties were being ferried to the Freighter where tons of C-4 awaited them; Jack and Sawyer were heading to find Hurley; Kate and Sayid were captured by Alpert and his people; Locke was heading into the Orchid to move the island, and Ben was finally face to face with Keamy.

Excellent.

8 I missed the first few minutes. Asked my wife what I missed and she said "Lots." Thank Goodness for DVR. The reunions were interesting. The Oceanic Corporate PR person was perfectly played as the cynical smiling fake. It is disturbing seeing the six lie. Sayid is the only one who seems good at it. Great to see Richard again and apparently firmly in control of the situation. Locke's line to Ben about "Is there any time you are entirely truthful?" was classic. Favorite line was "Jesus Christ is not a weapon!"
Not enough Sawyer. tried to stay up for Kimmel but fell asleep. Lets not forget that is a LOT of C4. This cannot bode well for the freighter or anyone on it.

I will have to watch it again over the weekend to give a final rating, but my guess is it will be about a 6- maybe, a 7. There were still far too many poor aspects keeping me from handing out a 9 or 10. And, a few things were just really bad:

Aaron is 5 weeks old and Kate was supposed to have been pregnant with him when captured by the US Marshal- and they all just buy that? Me (as one of the reporters): “Excuse me, Ms. Austen, are you seriously asking me to believe that baby is only 5 weeks old and you were that pregnant on the plane when arrested? What, are we all morons here?” This was just to support the “big lie” plot, otherwise, Kate would have had looked like Claire on the plane and therefore when she was arrested (yes, I know they tried to address that in the scene, but failed- miserably, IMO). Solution: avoid the whole press conference altogether. When part of your overall story is already weak and contrived (Kate having Aaron) don’t draw attention to it with a scene like this.

Jack going after the helicopter (fresh off the unnecessary surgery plot line). Sawyer tells Jack and Kate that the freighter gang blew up stuff, etc. but Jack and his 9-millimeter gun are ready to take them on anyway. Scenes like this are just so bad. If you were Sawyer, wouldn’t you say something like this to Jack: “Hey, I get that you want to take these guys on. But you have no idea what kind of firepower they have. They had machine guns and RPGs- and that’s before they went back to the freighter and came back. God only knows what they came back with this time. We can’t win this fight- at least, not right now.” No, Sawyer doesn’t say something like that. In fact, he joins Jack! Comic book.

Sun taking it to daddy with her settlement from Oceanic. I’m not certain, but I believe this was taken straight out of the Dallas / Dynasty playbook. How big was this Oceanic check? Give me a break. Why go down that pathetic soap opera road? Do they even realize how purchasing stock in a public company works in the real world? To take a controlling interest in a company like that would require more money than most of us can really imagine- hundreds of millions, at least. Just have her disown him and tell him he will have no part in her daughter’s life, or something like that (since she did receive a realistic settlement check, she no longer would be dependant on him for a nice lifestyle for her daughter). Dumb, for no good reason.

All the FFs this season have taken away a lot of the suspense (or killed it, altogether) in scenes like: Will the people on the freighter all be killed (i.e. Sun and Aaron)? Will Jack, Hurley, Kate and Sayid make it? If we didn’t know they (the O6) make it, there could be some real suspense here.

What made it much better than the vast majority of episodes this season: the opening and ending scenes. Just action (no dialogue- especially no gigantic talking heads), accompanied by soft music- so we actually cared and felt something for the characters. That was old school LOST. When I see scenes like that, I just wonder why TPTB don’t get this: these are the types of scenes that built a loyal fan base from S1. With the exception of the Desmond/Penny phone call in The Constant, I really haven’t felt anything for these characters since the S4 opener, TBotE. A lot more action (that’s right, action- that word doesn’t have to mean machine gun fire) scenes like this would go a long way in returning this show to its former glory. In fact, without these two scenes, I would probably give this episode around a 3- that’s just how good they were.

9! Loved every minute of it except Ben telling Locke it's none of his business and Locke standing there duh-like, ready and willing to take orders again from Ben. Smack the lying SOB, will ya!

Matthew Fox was brilliant, as always. Loved all the reunion scenes. Too bad Sun chose to go back to Korea. But the girl's got revenge on her mind. I think things are going to get a little "dark" for her, maybe she'll become ruthless like Jin pre-island.

I had no problem with Aaron or his age. Hey, a bunch of people fell out of an airplane and lived to not talk about it so what's a little discrepancy in a baby's age.

Not a great episodes in and of itself, but good set-up for next week, and I guess that was its function. Some parts were a bit clunky (Sun informing daddy Paik she owned his company; just how much did she get, and how come he didn't already know??) and the reunions were strangely unaffecting. So a middling 7 for me.

Really good episode. I was debating between an 8 or 9 when my roommate (who doesn't watch LOST every episode) said he had this ominus feeling like somthing bad is about to happen. Like a really scared feeling. He didn't think it was because of the show. However, the show has that crazy impact on people.

I gave it a six. I'd say it was a good epi but I wasn't blown away. I was very glad to finally see how Jack discovers Claire is his sister. But, some moments seemed "soap opera" and a little cheesy - scene with Claire's mom being one, Sun confronting her dad, and Ben's "I always have a plan." I still love the show but it's lost some of it's mystique for me.

Loved it! A 10+!!!! We can really tell when Cuse and Linderof write their own episodes. A big difference in quality.

Answered many of the recent questions that caused so much speculation. I see a lot of the 'sci-fi' lovers here did n't seem to love it, maybe cuz it answered so many things without the far-out theories coming true?

Keamy DOES have the boat wired to blow up. It follows that his arm device sets it off. So many here kept wanting his arm thingie to be able to blow up the island.?

Sun DOES get to the boat. Will she now have to leave it?

the O6 ARE on a cargo plane. (Not a large cargo chopper) We still do not know just how they got there yet.

Kate and Sayid WERE surrounded by Others. (as I guessed) Not the popular here theory that the preview pic showed "2 Kates"...:drowsy:

Jack said in Court that they were in the Pacific Ocean when rescued. Threw us all into a tizzy..Oh No! he exposed the "Widmore Story", etc. Now we know he was just way off in his geography. Must have been to throw us off. Per the "Official Story", they were in the Indian Ocean all along. He did not tip the story at all. No portal travel involved at this point.

Anyone else notice that they said they got to Sumba (a real island) on "Day 108"?

I gave it a 7. There would have been law enforcement there to greet Kate and there was not. Ben told Locke how to get into the Orchid but not what to do. Locke did not even question this. I know this is a setup for the finale but it seems like the writing could have been better.

I love the way they have the O6 separated in four different locations. right now it is anybody's guess how they all come together.

Sun's quote to her father was interesting, "I hold two people responsible for Jin's death you and....." who could it be?

I gave it an 8 -- great, solid ep with some very poignant moments. Though it's a little hard to judge because it's only the first part of the much bigger finale picture, so this mainly felt like set up.

Still, Jack finding out that Claire is his sister = OMG! That was so emotional and heart breaking -- just to see the look on Jack's face as he gazed over at Kate holding Aaron!

Nadia and Sayid were amazing too -- I'm so happy for them! Though, at the same time, very sad, knowing what will happen to her :frown: Poor Sayid! He deserves so badly to be happy.

The tension about what might happen to Jin is amazing! That's one thing that really makes the FFs fascinating -- to have seen snippets of the future in earlier eps, and wonder what happens to these people!

One weak spot: Sun buying a controlling share in Paik Industries -- just not sure how realistic that is. His company might be worth billions, and would she really get that large of a settlement to buy a controlling share? And him not know about it ahead of time? (buying a controling share like that would not slip completely under the radar in the real world) But that's ok, I guess.

The explosives on the freighter! Yikes! Keamy and his full on creepiness! Ben and his "plan"! Wow! They are sure setting up for an amazing action packed final 2 hrs.

(now I just have to stay away from any spoilers of any kind for the next two weeks, because I don't want to know what might happen -- be strong!)

I gave it a 9 too. Just to leave room for the next two hours.

My favorite moments:
Kate telling Jack about how he lies
Sawyer "You're not gonna die alone"
SAYID AND NADIA'S REUNION!
Opening and closing montages
The whispers in Hurley's mansion
And of course, the Claire reveal. My favorite moment.

I gave it a 7. I loved the arrival of the O6 and them being reunited with their families, that was very emotional. We've been waiting since the start of the series for the survivors to get off of the island and now that it's happened, I kind of want them to go back!! No extraordinary things happening on the island in this episode in my opinion. They just sort of set things up for the finale, which I can't wait to see.

After watching it a second time, I’ll stick with a 6. Could have been better, but was certainly better than most of the episodes, this season.

The episode was obviously designed to separate the O6 so we all wonder how they get back together by the end of the two-hour finale. While it was better than the vast majority of episodes this season, I was still annoyed by the usual nonsense (Ben lying and playing Locke like a chump, etc.) and I just couldn’t get past a few really bad parts:

Trying to pass off Aaron as 5 weeks old and that Kate was supposedly 6-months pregnant with him when captured by the US Marshal- and all the reporters just buy that. I know they tried to address that in the scene, but failed- miserably, IMO. Solution: avoid the whole press conference altogether. When part of your overall story is already weak and contrived (Kate having Aaron) don’t draw attention to it with a scene like this.

Jack going after the helicopter (fresh off the unnecessary surgery plot line) and Sawyer not only doesn’t tell Jack about the machine guns and RPGs the freighter goons had before making another trip back to the freighter, he joins Jack to go fight them! Simply comic book.

Sun taking it to daddy like J.R. Ewing (from Dallas- for those of you who aren’t an old goat, like me) with her settlement from Oceanic. I mean, with only 32 episodes left after this season, are they actually going to waste some of them on Sun trying to “break” daddy like J.R. used to do to Cliff Barnes? Dumb, for no good reason.

All the FFs this season have taken away a lot of the suspense (or killed it, all together) in scenes like: Will the people on the freighter all be killed (i.e. Sun and Aaron)? Will Jack, Hurley, Kate and Sayid make it? If we didn’t know they (the O6) make it, there could be some real suspense here.

What saved the episode and made it much better than the vast majority of episodes this season were the opening and ending montages. Just action (no dialogue- especially no gigantic talking heads), accompanied by soft music- so we actually cared and felt something for the characters. That was old school LOST.

I think it was a quite nice episode but just the quietness before the storm ^^. So I'm holding back all my expectations. I'm just trying to figure out how all get together again and why just this 6 special people get away but we will see :)

But nice work!

9 for me.
I thought this episode was really good. Another best of season. Every scene was just intense and pretty dramatic. Very well acted, written and directed, too.

I think the last 2 parts might turn out to be as good as the pilot was.

I gave it a 9, I really enjoyed it. The flash-forwards were excellent, I loved Hurley's birthday party, the landing of the oceanic six and Jack finding out Claire's his sister. Something I've been wanting to see since we found out in season three I can't wait to see the finale, I think it's gonna be even better than last seasons.

Gave it a 9. Awesome episode which lots of great moments (especially the flashbacks), that's bound to lead up to the best finale of the show (and that says something when it comes to lost).

Just wanted to say that for me, the scene where Jack gets the reveal about Claire was reminiscent of the scene in Exodus pt. 1 where Sawyer is cutting the trees for the raft and tells Jack that he met Christian Shepphard in a bar in Sydney.

Cool stuff.

Gave it a 9 after two viewings.
Found the whole memorial for Dr. D and Gramma Littleton's reveal boring as can be, but the rest was great. I'm still struggling with the timeline and Kate's seriously implausible story about her pregnancy, but I was so happy for Sayid, loved Hurley's parents, and was excited at every commercial break.

Even though it is not the most spectacular or action packed episode ever....but this episode has some very defining moments...

I love the scene where the Oceanic Six disembarked from the cargo plane and were greeted by family members. Very touching scene.

The scene where Sun pawned her father in his office was great too.

Sayid and Nadia....great seeing them so happy together..

And last but not least.....the scene where Carole Littleton appears to Jack and reveals to him that Claire is his half sister.... brilliant!

I give this episode a 9

I had to think about this quite awhile before I voted. Then I gave it a 10. This was a transitional episode, but I realized it's one of the episodes I'm going to go back and watch again and again for years and years. The long-anticipated arrival into the arms of waiting family . . . the return of Nadia . . . meek Sun climbs the corporate ladder/staircase and turns into Vengeful!IndustrialMagnate!Sun . . . and best of all, the montage at the end (and particularly the shot from above of Kate and Sayid walking with the Others). Just SO MUCH there . . . and the real payoff still to come next week!

8. Very good, but last weeks was better- maybe because last week was when it really began to pick up and get exciting- like with the stand off on the freighter and Sayid getting on the motor boat, leaving Desmond to fend for himself as the awesome music came on that they usually only play on the really exciting episodes. I've always been one to love anticipation and build up - often more so than when things are settled. I guess I also like the contrast of going from a moderately interesting episode to one that really picks up.

In this episode I really loved that the Others showed up just when I almost forgot about them. The new music was great especially when played at the end showing all the different characters. I love it in shows or movies when there are several characters all carrying out their own seperate but related missions at the same time like what is happening in this episode. Scene with Claires mom was good. I've been waiting for Jack's discovery that Claire is is half sister. Its interesting that it happened off the island which makes perfect sense but which I did not expect nonetheless. I like that the numbers were back again on Hurley's odometer. I was beginning to think they weren't going to talk about the numbers anymore. Can't wait for next week's epsisodes.

phenomenal. explanations for lots of questions, so we can quit wondering while we watch what happens next. love the format -- the present and FF coming together. it was great to see so many favorite characters. 10!

I give it a 7 - which means reasonably good, competent stuff. There was a lot going on ... almost too much at times ... but the director (Williams) really stayed with it, ensuring the episode flowed. I thouhjt the opening scenes, on board the plane with the O6, were great. There was huge tension between the O6! The press conference was interesting, though very 'staged'-feeling. I liked Sayid reuniting with Nadia. That was a bit of a tearjerker ... .

Hugo's mad dash from the jinxed Camaro was a bit of a highlight for me!

The island scenes were less impressive though fine - they id the job, moving characters from one place to another, like pawns on a chess-board.
