While looking at screen caps from tonights episode I realized that alot of the artwork on Kate's fridge is the same as artwork that appeared in the Santa Rosa Mental Institute in The Beginning of the End.Specifically you can see the same purple, blue and orange paper flowers. You can see the same lady bug in two places at Santa Rosa. You can also see a very similar orange butterfly in both Kate's house and Santa Rosa. I was unable to find the artwork at Santa Rosa prior to the season 4 episodes. I found similar artwork however in season 2's Dave.

I just found it very odd that Aaron's artwork would appear at Santa Rosa. I think it is more than a coincidence.They wanted us to see the similarities, if they didn't they would have used different artwork.

One possible reason for the artwork being the same is if Kate paid Hurley a visit and brought along some of Aaron's art as a way to cheer him up. But this seems unlikely since when Jack went to see Hurley it was made clear that Hurley had been seeing Charlie for quite some time. It was when Hurley first came to Santa Rosa again (after he first started seeing Charlie) that The Beginning of The End takes place. Therefore if the artwork were the same it could not be on Kate's fridge because it should already be at Santa Rosa by the time this flashforward took place.

Your link for the flowers on Kate's fridge isn't working. I just figured the artwork in the day room in TBOTE were crafts that some of the patients made. :shrug:
I'm looking forward to checking out the artwork in this epi.

Anytime they show something off the island I find myself looking in the background more than what the characters are doing. Look at that painting, look at the fridge, I'm so afraid I'm going to miss something and usually do. :redface:

I haven't yet looked at all the caps, but I'd expect Aaron's art work to look like Michael's, Thomas's (his dad), and maybe even Des's.

They're all pulling water from the same well.
