Okay, is he dead or is he a ghost? And what's up with Claire?

We know he's dead, and Claire was acting really weird. I'd suggest that everything in the cabin was a vision but who knows at this point.

The producers have stated that people who die stay dead and we know Christian died for realsies. So, it's understandable why he'd appear to Claire as a vision, but what connection is there to Locke?

Chrisitan's appearance is the real blockbusters of this episode. The last time Locke visited Jacobs cabinWe saw someone who looked like Christian in a pirate outfit . This pretty much confirms it was Christian all along. Hes looking more and more like the mastermind behind the entire island.

Also, just throwing this out there - its possible that Chrisitan travelled to Australia with the hope of luring Jack to follow him - knowing that they would crash on the island.

The producers have stated that people who die stay dead and we know Christian died for realsies. Niki didn't. ;) Don't forget the special spider venom.

I think they are alive & well.

Christian said he wasn't Jacob but "I can speak for him". Do you think that's true or is Jacob a captive and these other powers ( Ben, Whidmore, Paik and now Locke) are struggling for the power of the island or Jacob's power? Didn't Jacob ask Locke for help like he was trapped against his will?

I think it's very very true.
Christian is Jacob's son, the Shephard's are island royalty, Aaron is the heir apparent..

Far out!!! That is gonna take a minute to sink in. Do we know anything about Jack's Grandfather? We have Christian, we have Jack, we have Claire and we had Aaron on the Island. Too much!!

Seeing Claire with Christian at the cabin makes me wonder if Claire is dead. She seemed way different from the Claire we knew.

Did you watch the mobisodes? In the "The Watch"
Christian gave Jack a watch, saying his father had given it to him.
In the Pilot, Part 1, Jack gave the watch to Hurley, to use to time Claire's premature contractions. My theory is the watch represents the Jacob-Christian-Jack-Aaron line.

Darlton has said that the mobisodes are canon...

He's becoming all Island Rugged guy, quite the transformation from the dapper doctor he is, even dead.

The look he exchanged with Claie was bizarre. I have no idea why Jacob would choose him to speak to Locke, since Locke doesn't even know who he is, but then again, I've just stopped asking those kinds of questions tonight.

He was unshaven, like when we last saw him alive in the bar, and I was very surprised that he wasn't wearing a suit....
Then when he said "I'm Christian", I kinda swooned and lost my chain of thought...

:lol2: Ah, yes... The Shephard men have that effect on us, I guess.

Any chance we'll ever get the rest of that conversation? I suppose it's too much to ask since it would actually... God forbid... clue us into what's going on.

Then when he said "I'm Christian", I kinda swooned and lost my chain of thought...Yeah, he's definately the hottest "old guy" on the show!

ok, I'm recovering my chain of thought, which was "Why isn't he wearing that suit?"

Imo, it's because he's ~at home~ in Jacob's cabin. He certainly looked comfortable.
Further, Christian wants to save the island and knows how to save the island.

Imo, this episode shows Christian "belongs" there, on the island, in Jacob's cabin.
And since he belongs there, has that kind of understanding, doesn't it follow that he's Jacob's son?
