Keamy asked, demanded, that Sayid tell him where everyone on the island was and Sayid mocked him. Everyone else that even looked at Keamy wrong got an a** whoopin' at a minimum. Why did he let Sayid slide? Was he scared? Was it the island? Does he have instructions to bring Sayid back alive?

He probably thought he could work on Sayid later to get the information out of him, using the same technique he used to get Lapidus to do his bidding.
Wouldn't work with Sayid, though.
As an aside, in retrospect I'm really sorry that Alex entered the code to allow Keamy and his menu to get into Otherville. Obviously, she would have been better off being killed there, and it would have been a heroic act. But I give her a pass because she was just 16, had just seen her lover and her mother die before her eyes, and probably thought Daddy could still fix things.

I liked that scene. Sayid, who gives up nearly two feet in height to Keamy, just stares him down (stares him up?). "And why would I want to do that?" Keamy decides not to engage Sayid and moves to easier prey.

I liked the scene too...Sayid wasn't scared at all of the Giant SuperSoldier!

I think Keamy respects him in someway because he shows he's not scared.
Though, I'd drive 5 miles to a friends house to watch a big screen of Sayd and Keamy beating the crap out of each other.
Talk about Rocky 4.

I thought he was distracted by something before he responded to Sayid.

Yes, didn't he see the captain then and accused him of warning Ben about him?

Oh yeah, the height difference was glaring. You think they would have given Naveen a box to stand on or put Keamy a step lower.

The captain saved Sayid.Keamy is on a mission and he needed information who told the lostie's about him. Mercenaries are well trained, almost like robots to act. If the captain had not interrupted Keamy, he probably would have beat Sayid up. Dead men tell no tales so mercs don't kill you unless your useless to them.
