View Full Version : Best lines from Cabin Fever
jennylee27 05-09-2008, 12:38 AM I know this is going to get changed by the language filter, but:
"Destiny, John, is a fickle bitch." - Ben
:rotflmao:
"I'm with him." - Claire
I'm sure there were some good ones from the 3 stooges at the beginning of the ep, like "I was following him." - Ben. haha!

I loved it!!!
ryan0905 05-09-2008, 12:40 AM Destiny John, is a fickle $%^$#

Yep, that pretty much sums it up for Ben and Locke. They both have been screwed by the island.
AboutBunnies 05-09-2008, 12:40 AM Hurley: "Mallomars"!
LostLaura 05-09-2008, 12:42 AM Yeah, Mallomars. My favorite was the unspoken line between Ben and Hurley when they shared the candy bar. Ha
AboutBunnies 05-09-2008, 12:44 AM Yeah, Mallomars. My favorite was the unspoken line between Ben and Hurley when they shared the candy bar. HaYes, that was hilarious! They looked so nonchalant, like nothing out of the ordinary...What a bizarre, surreal "odd couple"!
workingmom 05-09-2008, 12:45 AM Locke to Ben: I''m not you.
Juliet: Doctors make the worst patients.
gantos69 05-09-2008, 01:08 AM "I fixed your gun"- The Captain

"Im not you" Locke's response
lostmio 05-09-2008, 01:08 AM "I'm Christian".
positively curled my toes...
lostorfound 05-09-2008, 01:13 AM Hurley's theory on why only he and Locke have seen Jacob.
BTW Are we really more censored than network TV?
Alison59 05-09-2008, 01:14 AM My personal favorite:
Hurley to Locke: What happened to them? (Dharma Initiative)
Locke: He did (pointing at Ben)
Straight and to the point
lockesmithe 05-09-2008, 01:15 AM Ben's fickle vincent statement was shocking, intriguing, and funny all at the same time. Destiny is fickle.
Brian825 05-09-2008, 01:45 AM Examining the Dharma mass grave:
Hurley: "What happened to them?"
Locke(pointing to Ben): "He did."
Supertwiz 05-09-2008, 02:12 AM "...Cabin..." - Hurley
Selene1212 05-09-2008, 02:39 AM I don't remember the exact quote, but it was when Hurley asked Ben if thats where he had shot Locke. I thought that scene was great.
Oh yeah, and Jack's brilliant "I think they want us to follow them." line.
lostmio 05-09-2008, 02:43 AM Oh yeah, and Jack's brilliant "I think they want us to follow them." line.
:roflmao:
Jack's still feeling the chloroform...
Selene1212 05-09-2008, 03:07 AM :roflmao:
Jack's still feeling the chloroform...
:lol2:
Exile236 05-09-2008, 03:10 AM My personal favorite was: "He did!"
2nd fav: "Destiny is a fickle (Vincent)!"
caforrest2047 05-09-2008, 03:14 AM "I'm with him" Claire, and of course the destiny comment from Ben.
bakerboys 05-09-2008, 03:18 AM Hurley: "Mallomars"!
I missed the 'Mallowmars" line. :(
About when in the eppy was it said so I can go back and watch it, please?
God's tom 05-09-2008, 03:22 AM Destiny John, is a fickle $%^$#
I loved it!!!
The moment he said that - I knew that would be the best line of the show!
Makes me wonder...who will take over when (if) the island decides it doesn't like John anymore? Walt? Aaron?
lockesmithe 05-09-2008, 03:24 AM Gault telling Keamy,
"Mayhew's dead."
Reference to Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca in Star Wars?
girlgoescrazy 05-09-2008, 03:30 AM HAHAHAHA...Why do all of you keep keeping out the "You're certainly not" part out of Benjamin/Locke conversation... That was the most important part, anyways...
iameve 05-09-2008, 03:44 AM I liked
Destiny is a fickle B
and
We have to move the island.
The March Hare 05-09-2008, 03:45 AM I think it was something like "What do we have to do to save the island."
lostmio 05-09-2008, 03:45 AM I missed the 'Mallowmars" line. :( ?
Hurley wants Mallomars and Jack, after being chloroformed, wants munchies..
made me wonder if cabin fever makes you stoned and hungry.
Just sayin',,,
Mystille 05-09-2008, 03:52 AM My favorite line was "Destiny is a fickle beeatch", just classic, lol.
planetsong 05-09-2008, 05:04 AM Locke asked: "How do I save the island?"
Then Locke tells Ben: "He wants us to move the island."
lipgloss_and_revolver 05-09-2008, 08:08 AM "I used to have dreams .." -Ben
Lost Ed 05-09-2008, 09:46 AM The line with Hurley offering water after Locke comes out of the mass grave. Can't recall it exactly.
And one other Hurley line made me laugh out loud, but I was so intense watching...I forgot them.
StayinLost 05-09-2008, 10:09 AM Mallomars - Hurley (When locke woke him up to leave after having his dream, to the poster who wanted to find the part)
Then there was the scene after Abbadon tells John about how he needed to go on a Walkabaout, and how when he saw Abbadon again he would owe him one.
Mr. Find 05-09-2008, 10:48 AM My personal favorite:
Hurley to Locke: What happened to them? (Dharma Initiative)
Locke: He did (pointing at Ben)
Straight and to the point
Examining the Dharma mass grave:
Hurley: "What happened to them?"
Locke(pointing to Ben): "He did."
My personal favorite was: "He did!"
I'm with you all. The "He did" line was great. Maybe one of the ten best lines in the series so far!
hmd1975 05-09-2008, 11:00 AM Emily runs crying from the neo-natal care, while pulling out a cig, grandma turns and says, So, who do i see about adopting? Brrr!
Locke: "I'm going to save the island"
Remus Lupin 05-09-2008, 11:28 AM When Hurley, Ben and Locke have their "Who's the leader?" conversation and realize that no one knows where they're going, Hurley says "Oh, this is just awesome." It was in this totally awesome pissed-off tone and cracked me up.
Ben: "I have no idea where the cabin is, Hugo's the last one that saw it"
Hugo: "Oh this is just awesome"
lostfan113 05-09-2008, 11:54 AM Ben - "I was following him" (Hurley)
Hurley - "Following me? I wasn't even leading!"
merry1 05-09-2008, 11:55 AM Hurley's theory on why only he and Locke have seen Jacob.
BTW Are we really more censored than network TV?
Yeah, typically that's not the case on boards -- on HBO boards, for instance, anything goes, because that's what's allowed on the show, and it makes sense to at least allow dialogue that can be allowed in the show (but I understand that there are young impressionable minds out there ;) )
My fav line (paraphrasing):
Ben: I was following him.
Hurley: But I'm not even in the front.
I love Hurley
I also loved Gault's: "I fixed your gun." (firing into the air)
100%
Emily runs crying from the neo-natal care, while pulling out a cig, grandma turns and says, So, who do i see about adopting? Brrr!
I loved grandma Locke! She was hilarious in that scene
josette 05-09-2008, 12:01 PM I don't remember the exact quote, but it was when Hurley asked Ben if thats where he had shot Locke. I thought that scene was great.
I totally agree- it was something along the lines of Ben saying that "i don't know what I was thinking" or "i wasn't thinking clearly" So GREAT!
Dublin Dilettante 05-09-2008, 12:10 PM I don't really understand American attitudes to to censorship, but I was absolutely flabbergasted when Ben used what it seems I must call the b-word. I couldn't have been more surprised if it was the c-word! To see Ben's eloquence and self-control slip like that was glorious.
Arguably the single greatest line in Lost history.
loraho 05-09-2008, 12:42 PM I'm surprised no one has mentioned Locke's line to Hurley on the way to see the Dharma skeletons: "We're going to make a pit stop."
I laughed out loud because it almost seemed inappropriate.
Dublin Dilettante 05-09-2008, 12:45 PM I just got it a few minutes ago, I'm ashamed to say! (It's a PIT, you see...just in case anyone's as slow as I am.)
LostFan21617 05-09-2008, 12:54 PM How about when Locke was talking to Hurley about the DI referring to them as the ones who manned the hatches, built the houses, and "made that ranch dressing you're so fond of." *LOL*
Lost Ed 05-09-2008, 01:04 PM I didn't realize it till glancing through lostpedia...but Locke says we have to make a pit stop...and he meant it...the mass grave pit.
Maalstrom Aran 05-09-2008, 01:12 PM John's response to Hurley "He did" about Ben was hilarious and so true. Ben is a trouble maker.
bakerboys 05-09-2008, 02:02 PM Mallomars - Hurley (When locke woke him up to leave after having his dream, to the poster who wanted to find the part)
Then there was the scene after Abbadon tells John about how he needed to go on a Walkabaout, and how when he saw Abbadon again he would owe him one.
Thank you. I'll go back and watch that scene.
LostLaura 05-09-2008, 04:01 PM I'm surprised no one has mentioned Locke's line to Hurley on the way to see the Dharma skeletons: "We're going to make a pit stop."
I laughed out loud because it almost seemed inappropriate.
lol I wasn't paying attention enough. Good call.
KellieLeigh 05-09-2008, 06:18 PM Ben: I was following him
Hurley: but I wasn't even in front.
Plus anything Ben said in response to Lockes allusions to Bens past behavior. Not really what he says but how he says it. Kind of like "gosh, everyone makes mistakes, what is the big deal?"
erin1679 05-09-2008, 06:35 PM Ben - "I was following him" (Hurley)
Hurley - "Following me? I wasn't even leading!"
That was the funniest part of the show :) I also liked when Horace said, "He's been waiting for you a real long time, man"...it was just so hippie sounding
girlgoescrazy 05-09-2008, 07:32 PM Ben: I was following him
Hurley: but I wasn't even in front.
Plus anything Ben said in response to Lockes allusions to Bens past behavior. Not really what he says but how he says it. Kind of like "gosh, everyone makes mistakes, what is the big deal?"
And that's why Michael Emerson is the best actor I ever had the pleasure of watching, hands down.
Exile236 05-09-2008, 08:06 PM Emily runs crying from the neo-natal care, while pulling out a cig, grandma turns and says, So, who do i see about adopting? Brrr!
Ok, that one made me chuckle too!
Pythagoras99 05-09-2008, 09:47 PM I missed the 'Mallowmars" line. :(
About when in the eppy was it said so I can go back and watch it, please?
It's in his sleep as John is waking him up to go find the darma pit.
Here's my list, there were so many great ones.
I had to go and transcribe that opening exchange, it was so funny...
L: How long?
B: I don't know -- I've been following HIM.
L: What? What do you mean you've been following him?
H: I'm not even in front!
L: I have no idea where the cabin is. Hugo's the last one who saw it.
H: Oh, this is just AWEsome.
Doc: What did this to him?
Keamy: Black pillar of smoke threw him 50 feet in the air and ripped his guts out. (like it's something he sees every day.)
Ben: I used to have dreams.... (nods dreamily)
Keamy: I appreciate your concern. (when the captain says he may be going crazy)
Teacher: You can't be a superhero.
Young Locke: Don't tell me what I can't do.
Abbadon: When you're ready, Mr Locke, you're going to listen to what I'm saying. And then, when you and me run into each other again.... you'll owe me one.
Juliette: Hey! What did I say to you?!
Jack: (mouth full of food) You told me not to leave my tent.
Jack: I think they want us to follow them.
John: You know why I'm here?
Christian: Yeah. Sure.... Do you?
John: I'm here... because I was chosen to be.
Christian: that's absolutely right.
100%
And that's why Michael Emerson is the best actor I ever had the pleasure of watching, hands down.
Absolutely. For me the best "lines" in this episode were not lines at all, but the expressions on Ben and on Keamy. They're both amazing.
It's bizarre how passive and boyish Ben has suddenly become. Has he really just given up all his ambition to rule the island? We see in the future he's on a revenge spree, but when he meets Charles he doesn't say anything like, "it's not my island anymore." So I wonder if he returns to his old self at some point.
bterrill 05-09-2008, 09:54 PM I really liked the scene where they were walking and Ben was like all serious when he said he was following Hurley and Hurley's like "Dude, I'm not even in front!"
Jedierica 05-09-2008, 10:04 PM "Cabin" Hurley
allaboutlost 05-09-2008, 11:44 PM when hurley asks ben "is this where you shot John?' Ben answers " I was standing right there (nodding to where Hurley is standing). Hurley steps to the side. :p
Wayne Jarvis 05-10-2008, 02:31 AM You all missed the best one. Pythagoras was the first to bring up this exchange but left out the best part. It's nearly inaudible but downright hilarious, and the best line in an episode of great dialogue:
The Doc: "What did this to him?"
Keamy (matter-of-factly): "Black pillar of smoke threw him fifty feet in the air and ripped his guts out."
*Keamy walks away, two seconds later...*
The Doc: "...What?"
Hahaha.
Confidence-Man 05-10-2008, 02:38 AM I used to have dreams "Ben:
Is that what you are? "Abbadon to Locke
Exile236 05-11-2008, 05:02 AM Okay another great exchange from this episode:
Keamy: "I need you to tell me exactly how many people there are on that Island and where every single one of them is!"
Sayid: "And why would I do that?!"
Lapidus to Michael :
ha ha haaaaaaa
Man I thought I was Mr. conspiracy but you got me beat there
