It is my belief that Locke and Ben are gonna use the Orchid to be able to 'move' the island.

Now, based on Ben's desert scene, it seems the Orchid was in a 'cold' place.
So, my question is:

Are the tropical days on the island over?

Or, it could be cold in nature in the way Ben teleports, or if it is The orchid as transport, then part of it might be supercooled to promote superconductivity and it's just plain cold in there.

But, that's what I thought too. With everything being opposite on this show, then the opposite of the tropics is the iciness. Meaning, crash in Pacific, end up in the Indian. Go from cold place, end up in the desert in Tunisia. So maybe they ARE going to jump the rock to a new location, and that location is cold dude and the search will have to begin again. Charles will hide his daughter and Ben will try to hide the island.

But one question-if Ben and Sayid are out there doing all that work in the present on behalf of the island, then does that mean that for whatever reason Locke didn't make it and Ben has had to take the reins again to protect the rock? (<>..<>)
