I typed some stuff out, but it made no sense. So yeah...I'm stumped.

Ben must have told the Others "get sayid/kate and kill these guys who want to take me off the island". Or something.

It seems that Richard and the Others will end up rescuing Ben and joining up with Locke et al.

Boy, I wish Bernard was around to read the Morse code. My guess is he told Richard to head to the Orchid, coming across Kate/Sayid.

I think the Ben signaled to Richard with the Mirror.

I don't know but that totally took me by surprise and I was totally like. "Hello, yes we still have hostiles on the island!!"

Btw, did anyone else notice they were all dressed in the raggedy clothes they were originally famous for? Was this for the benefit of the freighters, I wonder?

I didn't notice that they were raggedy looking. They looked like people might look who have been on the run from their homes for a couple of weeks (though we don't know where they're staying now) but other than that they didn't look particularly raggedy, I didn't see any beards for example.

I agree with the mirror communication too. And Alpert and co. easily could have come across Kate and Sayid in the jungle. I think keeping Kate and Sayid with them would keep them safer then leaving them on their own anyway.

very good point. the others have the ability to be right next to you without you even knowing it. the scene in the grassfield with the torches comes to mind. but either way...maybe they are going to the orchid and there will be a huge firefight, and the whole issue of the orchid will just be to move the island so it can't be re found. not necessarily to get rid of keamy and his men.

I first thought richard, but after reading a few other threads that touch on this topic, Ben gave a pretty short message. I don't think he could have explained Kate and Sayid where following them (how would he know anyway) or that he Lock and Hurley were heading to the orchid. It seemed to me the position that responded the mirror code was the orchid.

A station that's suppose to be a ruse, it'd make sense to put up on the side of a ridge/hill, make it harder to get at. I'm thinking there's someone else there. Do you really leave a station with space time travel capabilites unmanned. Even if it does have a greenhouse over the top of it for a cover? He left Bonnie and Greta in the Looking Glass and was the only one who knew they were there.

Word has spread that Candle/Halliwax/Wickman is going to appear in the finales. Orchid orientation, probably, in person, hopefully

I think Ben told Richard to collect Kate and Sayid. I think he wants those two - probably Kate in particular - to be taken to the Temple to be protected. However, since we know these two get off the island, either something goes wrong with the plan, or I'm wrong and Richard takes them to the Orchid.

It wasn't just a random meeting in the jungle. The natives are capable of easily locating anyone on the island when the need arises.

Which could very well be the case, since they both have military connections. Interesting...

I think this is the plot turn that I'm most intrigued by at the moment. I'll be kind of disappointed if it turns out not to be that huge of a deal!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't think he was signaling Richard. I just don't get it.

I thought he was signaling to Jacob or even Christian. But it would make more sense for him to be signaling Richard and the Others to come help with Keamy and Co.

Jacob doesn't want anything to do with Ben anymore. And Ben can't even hear him anymore. Jacob is on a higher plane of existence. I don't think he communicates with mirrors in morse code.

i truely believe Christian is taking over Jacobs role "i can speak for him"....(amongst other things...)
