I thought it was interesting that Sawyer validated Locke when telling Jack about Keamy and crew coming to kill them all . . . "just like Locke said they would". Was this a device to further secure Sawyer's resistance toward rescue?

We haven't seen Locke validated in awhile.

I thought that was interesting to, I know people will attack me for this and I am not Jack bashing but I think Jack didn't come off to well in this episode, from missing the obvious signs everyone on the plane was in shock, Sun reminded him and seemed a little angry with him for it, his response to her seemed a bit cold, this should be easy. And granted I know he wants to get rescued but how smart is it to trek through the jungle recovering from an operation. And people have been saying that he didn't know the freighties were coming to kill them, fair enough, but what does he do when he hears the freighties are coming to kill them? He said, Running didn't work out to well for you that seemed incredibly insensitive of him given all that Sawyer had been through and that people had died. I was also glad someone called Jack on his obsession with getting off the island and that it was Sawyer. Jack's point that the helicopter is their only way off the island is obvious but isn't it negated by the Zodiac raft and isn't getting the helicopter superceded by the fact that there are men with more guns who have every intention of killing them all? I would think so. And it was nice to see someone refer to Locke as other than crazy. Some people tend to forget that while Locke has made some poor decision he has been right about many things and that Jack has been right about things, but just as wrong about many things as well. I don't know if it was a device to secure Sawyer's resistance to rescue, I think Sawyer's focus is keeping everyone safe, unlike Jack who, and I'll state this carefully, has rushed headlong into things in his desire to rescue his people he neglects to consider the consequences. Which is why I think Sawyer said, he's stubborn. I understand some of the reasons for Jack's behavior, rescue is this close but I don't think he's thinking rationally, I'm glad Sawyer's going with him so somebody does.

Of course, it's only Hurley Sawyer mentions not leaving behind. He could just know that Locke wouldn't want to leave, of course.
