Seeing the numbers in the car was one of the best moments of the episode... in an episode chock full of great moments!

Mr. Clucks, Ha! I thought that was pretty funny too. Poor Hurley. Were you totally creeped out when he found the coconut on the floor...and then started hearing whispers? I was completely fooled!

Was anyone else really excited to see the Numbers again? (in Hurley's odometer) It seems like it's been way too long since they've last appeared.

We may not know what they mean, but they sure do make things more interesting!

Yes! That was a hilarious scene!! Poor Hurley! He can't get away from them!!

But I think this is a clue that everything isn't as it seems "back home". I don't think the numbers will go away until the Island is ready for them too.

I flipped when I saw the numbers on the odometer. What gives? I thought that plane had flown, or that ship had sailed, or that car had booked. Really is there still life in the numbers game for LOST?

I have nothing smart to say...so I'll just say....

YES!!!!! THE NUMBERS! I love it, no wonder why our boy Hurley goes nuts again.

One of the few good things about this episode. This was the first time that the numbers made an appearance in a FF, I believe and it was ALL the numbers, not just a few. I'm glad they're back!

I don't remember any coconuts on the island.

I just had an idea while reading another thread. The numbers may have a connection with the Orchid Station, moving the island and physical time travel.

I totally was sucked into that scene and had started making notes about Hurley's "first haunting"! Cracked me up and then when I saw the odometer and tripometer, my jaw just dropped. I can't believe his dad hadn't noticed it when you consider all the trouble Hurley's been through because of those numbers.

Yay the numbers are back!!

So does this mean the Island is already working on Hurley?

Me too.

I thought that Hurley might be done with the numbers when we saw him tell the press conference that he didn't want the money, but ...they're backkk.

I feel the same way ... poor Hurley - no matter what he does, no matter how hard he tries his luck will never end. He might as well have taken the money.

I feel so sorry for Hugo, because he is now my favorite character on the show, BUT the numbers are back, woo hoo. I truly thought the writers had forgotten about them and that was something we would never revisit again. This tells me that they will at least have to explain their significance at some point. Most likely in the last episode of season 6.

I don't know why, but I agree! I thought the tie in to the 1st seaosn was great! It was like seeing an old friend.

I thought the way Hurley reacted to seeing the numbers was so realistic and well done. His basic response was, I don't want this, why do these numbers keep following me, what do I do with this, I just want things to be NORMAL. I feel that is exactly how Hurley would have reacted, so great job all around there.

I'm VERY intrigued to see the numbers still figuring so prominently in the storyline after Damon L. kinda sorta made it seem a while back, with some of his comments, like we fans were making way too much of them and they would most likely never be fully explained to our satisfaction. Well, now I think he was just messing with our heads (bad robot!) and of COURSE the numbers are CENTRAL, as we always have been led to believe by the story itself that they are, and have always felt and thought they are!

We will probably all end up like Leonard in the institution before all is said and done: totally obsessed with the numbers *LOL*! I know I've already been there, done that, long about season one.

I was thinking last night that I've NEVER been so wrapped up in a story as I am in LOST. It is like the most compelling, best book you ever read, ya know? LOVE IT!!!

Were you totally creeped out when he found the coconut on the floor...and then started hearing whispers? I was completely fooled!
I know!!! That was PRICELESS!!!!! Priceless.

Great episode.

The numbers want to be Hurley's friend. HIS ONLY FRIEND. That's why people die randomly around him.

I can't remember the last time we saw the numbers together. They seemed to play a massive part of series 2 but since then they have hardly been mentioned so it was nice to see them again. We've seen a few of the scattered about but not together for a while.
