Were those the Whispers Hurley heard at his house or did Hurley just think they were them? Was it just the guests at the party whispering so that Hurley was surprised?

I think it was a red herring. It was the party goers but they edited it to sound like the island whispers.

I'll want to those deciphered just to be sure though. I wouldn't put it past TPTB to do a double-switch on us. Sure it was just the party... but when you decipher the audio, maybe it's real Whispers.

It seems like we've heard *a lot* of whispers the second half of this season... do people decipher them and post what they say? If so, where can I find this?

It was probably just a red herring but to me the whispers seemed too crisp and "there", in a way that they probably wouldn't have considering that the door to the outside that the party-goers were behind was closed. Either way, I can't wait to hear them and find out!

I totally think they were "The Whispers"
Hurley was spooked from the minute he walked in to the house.

wow, I was really on the edge of my couch when those whispers were going, then BAM! I had to chuckle, because that was pretty funny

It was a red herring because there is a perfectly logical explanation for where the coconut came from. It was a Hawaiian theme party, but then again, the numbers in the car...

Whispers for sure.. I bet the 'translations' will bear it out. first sign that Charlie and the Ghosties have followed the O6 home. the numbers in his car are clue #2 that they are there...and Hurley is starting to go crazy.

A lot was made of his Mom's gold painted Jesus statue...and her funny line "don't use Jesus as a weapon". Fact is those kind of Jesus statues are very real and common, and her line sounds familiar, and can be taken many ways.

It's funny, I live in a Catholic country and older people often have small statues of the Virgin Mary but seldom of Jesus (likewise, in non-Latin Catholic countries "Jesus" is never used as a boy's name, maybe it's considered out of bounds.)

But yeah, I'd like to hear the whispers analysed just in case. It was a neat twist I didn't see coming, if nothing else.
