View Full Version : One of the best endings of an episode
PapaThor 05-16-2008, 02:24 AM The way this episode ended was one of the best of the entire series.
It re-capped where everyone was and what they were doing. I think it is going to be a great way to start the last two hours of the season. Well done.
lockesmithe 05-16-2008, 02:27 AM The music accompanying the scenes was noticeably good.

It totally was! I thought the music accompanying the final scenes of tonight's epi was some of the best scoring of the entire series.
LostMidnit3 05-16-2008, 04:53 AM I felt that way as well, this episode seemed to be just showing us where all the pieces were on the board before the game starts next week. We'll all be ready and set when the finale starts instead of having to bother moving people around and explain who is with who and where. Two weeks can't go by fast enough, in my opinion!! :D
Exile236 05-16-2008, 04:56 AM It was an absolutely fantastic job all around, from the acting, framing, to the music... that ending, it was beautiful!
mondayak 05-16-2008, 04:57 AM i'm really glad i'm not the only one that felt that. it almost brought a tear to my eye.
The Partyman 05-16-2008, 07:38 AM I could not agree more... excellent setup for the finale. :)
RodimusBen 05-16-2008, 08:39 AM LOST doesn't do as many slo-mo montages like that anymore, so it was cool. I think it also served to show us just how scattered about the Oceanic 6 are right now, which makes us all the more bewildered as to how they become the only ones who are rescued.
Laurieg 05-16-2008, 08:43 AM I had the sad feeling it gave us a look at who is going to die.
Meano Franko 05-16-2008, 09:00 AM I love the slo-mo, what everyone's up to, endings. We used to get one every couple of weeks in season 1. It was good to get one again. Very good episode.
Dezdemona 05-16-2008, 09:02 AM I thought the whole episode had a very cinematic feel to it, and the score was beautiful throughout. The montage at the end was the absolutely perfect way to conclude this episode... everybody scattered and in jeopardy. They're all in way over their heads and they know it, and the montage really gave us a sense of that.
richtallent 05-16-2008, 11:26 AM Totally agree, was awesome to watch
Taller Ghost Walt 05-16-2008, 02:47 PM I started a thread about this, but I didn't get many replies ... did any of you think it was interesting that everyone was paired up? It was always exactly two: Sun and Aaron, Jack and Sawyer, Kate and Sayid, Locke and Hurley. Any significance?
Goldfoot 05-16-2008, 03:03 PM LOST doesn't do as many slo-mo montages like that anymore, so it was cool. I think it also served to show us just how scattered about the Oceanic 6 are right now, which makes us all the more bewildered as to how they become the only ones who are rescued.
I really like the ending of the episode, and I agree it does a good job of showing that they were all separated. However it appears as if everyone but Sun and Aaron are about to end up at The Orchid. I'm sure that's where Richard and The Others are going and probably the same with Jack and Sawyer. Hurley is already there so the biggest question I have regarding this is how do they reunite with Sun and Aaron?
