Was it just me, or did anyone start thinking about the series (not season) finale after seeing the O6 get off of the plane? I began to think about the future and what the hell I'm going to start doing on Thursdays! I admit...I got a little sad. Okay, A LOT sad :frown:

Yeah, I hear ya.
That's why I'm hoping for some kind of spin-off once LOST ends.
Maybe it could be a show about the time traveling misadventures of our heroes Linus and Faraday. Instead of a dramatic thriller like LOST was, Cuse and Lindelof could alter the formula and make it a comedic road show along the lines of Martin & Lewis or Abbot & Costello.

They could even title it "Ben There, Dan That".

I did too! The music they kept playing I don't think helped.

But the second they got off the plane I got all weepy. I really think it was because it made me think of how Lost will be ending soon and I don't want it to! :(

The big part for me, was that back during season 1 I never would have thought we'd see them come home 2/3 through the series. That was always the scene I'd envisioned for the end of the series up through season 3 when it became apparent there was more to their story.

I definitely wouldn't mind a prequel series about Dharma. Kind of how they are supposed to be doing a prequel series of Battlestar Galactica called Caprica.

Yes! It will be sad. Life after Buffy was LOST - so I don't know what life after LOST will be!

Hmmm...life after LOST? Well, CW is bringing back Beverly Hills 90210 (spinoff), soooooo....

I always liked the Saturday morning cartoon idea, Locke and The smoke monster. Followed by Ben and Friends.;)

Hahaha those spin offs sound pretty cool. It's gotta be animated so we can see overly emotional facial expressions and grand body poses. Don't forget cartoon violence, we were talking about the Three Stooges last episode.

As far as the Finale goes I expect to see at least one scene we've already seen. I expect it to be the plane crash on the beach. Different people, different choices. Jack before the rabbit hole, and Jack after it.

I'm still waiting for a Dr. Arzt spin-off.

I really like that. I'm gonna start using that around the house.

I understand that PAWs (producers and writers) are feeling the same way, too. That since they know how the series is going to end, that they feel a sense of lost (no pun intended) about the upcoming end of the series.

However, the o6 getting off the Island is not how the story is going to end. That this is just the middle of the story and that there is a lot of story left to tell after this rescue, i.e. the flash-backs.

Yes. For some reason, after this episode, I feel like it's almost over! Weird.

The show still has 2 complete seasons left.
Tell me the last time you were even aware of a show ending 2 years before it does.

Get a grip people. Repost this thread in 2 YEARS!!!!!

I love the show too, but seriously......

We all know that, here. But that intro scene provoked some sad feelings for lots of viewers because it is the way we all thought the show was gonna end, back during season 1, with some of them getting OFF the island and back to the civilization.
Now, after 4 years, we know that the show will end with them going BACK to the Island. Ironic? Isn't it?

As far as the spin-offs....
Hell YEAH!!!
Bring them on, baby!
And I also want a movie, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!
It could even be set during Dharma times...

Each finale approaching makes me sad because I know it's gonna be month until I get my next Lost fix.I don't want them to make spinoffs, because those usually suck, but I'm definitely going to keep an eye on the creative team's other projects.
For instance, when Lost does end, I'm going to see Lost Writer Brian K. Vaughn's "Y The Last Man" comic book adapted to the big screen into a trilogy with Shia LaBeouf.
100%
And if it's anything like the comic book, it's so gonna rock!!!

Life after Angel for me was LOST. But, yeah I started feeling a little sad too last night. It hit me that the rides gonna be over soon.

i just look forward to not having to be in front of the tv at a certain time-

lots to do out there while its warm-
so i plan to simply- turn the tv off

I said, a "sense" of the series finale. Sense. Kind of like watching your older brother graduate high school while you're a junior. You think, "wow...this is all gonna end soon"

A sense...

"Lost" for me is unique, the first series with a great story and a fantastic cast. I've liked every actor I've seen so far and I think that each one of them has done a splendid job in shaping his/her character, no matter how important that character is or has been. This is what I'll miss when it's over.

I guess in 2010 I'll buy the 6-season DVD Pack (or maybe the Blu-Ray Pack) and start watching an episode every week. It should last a little more, eh?

True. They are getting us to like Ben, got us to like Shannon, etc etc etc....soon enough, Keamy will be part of the Kate-Sawyer-Jack love triangle...any cool names?

Skatemack? Sorry, I got nothing.
