How is the media going to explain how six (or eight, rather) of the passengers escaped the crash when all of the 324 bodies were found in the staged plane under water? Were eight of the bodies missing, and therefore the Oceanic 6 had to account for them in their made-up story? Or will the staged plane crash be exposed?

They could easily say that it was assumed since the plane was fully intact underwater that they just assumed that every single person was in it. They could also easily say they just assumed every single person was on the plane since they couldn't exactly go inside the plane they could see in there but they could see the plane was full.

Which begs the question "Does Widmore own Oceanic?"

if you go watch ''Confirmed Dead'' back again..you see the plane wasn't fully intact, it was broke apart like our plane was..which i find even more odd, lol.

dez, I'm thinking that Oceanic believes the O6 story like the media and public do. If Widmore finds 815 on the ocean floor, and O6 are rescued, then the airline would go along with it regardless of who owns it, wouldn't they? No sense spending money on investigation when the answers are handed to them.
