Wow!!!! Sun has def. changed! Has she gone over to the other side ? And...."We are not the only ones who left the Island"! If Ben is the other one who left...she could hold Ben or Widmore responsible!
Ruthless Sun!!

I bet Sun is baiting Widmore. Perhaps she is working with Jack/Ben to get back to the Island.

I hope so! I'd hate to think she was plotting against them.

I don't get how it is jacks fault that jin died

she really is pissed, I like to see her pissed and strong like that

She blames Jack probably for stopping Kate from going to get him, and two for trusting the freighter people to begin with. It's more her grief blaming him, the same way she blames his father, even though it's not like her father actually killed Jin.

Also, does anyone else think that Sun may be The Economist?!! I had this thought during her scene with Widmore. How awesome would that be!

This scene made me think she blamed Ben for Jin's death, but apparently she blames Jack for it...I would rather blame Ben, Keamy, or Lapidus more than Jack, despite the fact that I don't like Jack at all.

Wow!!! That would be awesome!! And Widmore did talk about playing golf with her father....I immediately thought that her father might be on Ben's list he gave Sayid of people to kill. Esp. since Sayid killed that other guy on the golf course.

In that scene with Widmore I thought Sun was going to whip out a gun and shoot him in the gut. Sun would make an awesome assassin.

I think it is mainly her grief behind blaming Jack since he was right there and had promised to save them all. I think in her mind she just associated blame with him from the moment the freighter blew up.

Yeah, grief is a pretty strong thing. If, in her mind, Jack is responsible for Jin's death than she would probably not have a problem with helping Widmore. In the end, it was Ben and Keamy and Paik and Widmore and all these crazies that got Jin killed. If Ben and Widmore hadn't been fighting over the Island Jin would still be alive. If she blames Jack for Jin's death she would probably see him going back to the Island as an insult to Jin's sacrifice and she would want to stop him.

Who would have guessed that Sun would have become such a major player in LOST?!

Yeah, love it. especially the idea of Sun as an enemy of Jack's. The last 2 seasons should be pretty awesome.

maybe "jeremy bentham" paid sun a visit and told her who "let" the freighter be blown up! ;)
now that would be a pretty good reason to go after ben, no?

That's what I was thinking. I think a lot of it is hinging on what was said and discovered in the week on Penny's boat. Seems like Penny is hiding from her father with Des in the future (I guess technically the present!).

I still wanna see Penny and Sun unite against their fathers! But it should be interesting bec/ Ben is now on the mainland and so is Penny. At least I'm assuming she and Des made it back home?

I loved seeing Sun's scene with Widmore! She's so different from when the show started. It's awesome.

I assumed she was issuing a threat there. She knows Desmond got off the island and was reunited with Penny, and I'm assuming by this stage (when Sun meets Widmore) Desmond and Penny are hiding from Ben. Maybe Ben doesn't know Des got off the island? Maybe that bit of info could help him find and kill Penny (somehow)?

I dunno. I love seeing her being so involved, though.

I just love bad a** Sun and I think she will do whatever it takes to kick her fathers and Jacks a**es back to that island! I suspect that I will love, love, love season 5 Sun just as much as I loved her in this finale.

I know if iJin were my husband and we were on that particular island, I would want to see his body to prove he was dead. I think Sun feels that Jin is still alive and idmore is the connection for her to get back to the island to find him. I think she is conning him so she can find the island. I know Jack wants everyone to get back to the island, but how will they find it. The last time they saw it, the whole island had disappeared.

I quite like the idea of Sun teaming up with Widmore. Plus, maybe she doesn't know about Jack going back, she isn't talking to him.

Ben said that he had a couple of ideas. He moves the island, ends up in the desert, so maybe he knows of a way to get back to the island from the same way he came? I know that seems like a stretch, but Ben seems to have a lot of information about the way the island works.

I believe Widmore made mention that he owed Paik a dinner for their last round of golf. At any rate in my opinion I think that Sun is overly obsessed with finding out if Jin is alive or dead. Her teaming up with Widmore is a "win at all costs" move and it reeks of desperation on her part, and this is bad for our heroes. Basically it will go down like this:
1. Sun makes a pact with Widmore to help each other get to the island.
2. Sun discovers Jin alive or dead.
3. Widmore destroys island, or whatever he does with it, to his end.

I don't know if Sun actually leads him directly to the Island but it sounds like she's going to tell him about Des leaving and Penny's rescue. And if Bentham came to visit her then, she will tell him about Locke which may be how Widmore finds Locke and kills him ,making it to look like suicide.

I am guessing Sun and Penny have teamed up. I am sure the O6 got money from Oceanic, but not enough for Sun to buy Paik's company, even with the other Losties chipping in. My bet is it is Penny's money backing her. Nice twist anyway, since she is Widmore's (estranged) daughter. I think Penny and the Losties are together in a plot cooked up from that week on the boat.

I felt like she was starting the "long con" one of Losts recurring themes. She is setting up Widmore for something and it will not be nice.

Yes, I agree. Sun is just trying to get back to the island and Widmore found it one time, he is the only one who could probably find it again. Perhaps she has "visions" that convince her that Jin did't die?

Yeah but at the same time ..........F that nonsense! All everyone on that island did the whole time they have been on it has been to ask Jack "what are we gonna do ......!!"
Jack has been asked time and time again to make decisions for the Losties, so it seems pretty unfair for Sun or anyone else to blame Jack for something? If not for Jack, they might not of found water.......or survived some of their wounds......etc. etc. etc.! Jack, imo , is a hero and all the Jack haters need to chill out........including Sun, if she is indeed pissed at Jack!

Agreed, but Widmore's not dumb. He could go in on an agreement with Sun, knowing she's out to use him, and by that knowledge end up conning or using her.

If he and Ben are rivals of equal measure, and it's pretty apparent they are, then even though he hasn't had much screen time, it's safe to assume he has just as big a bag of tricks and experience as we've seen Ben have.

Very intriguing storyline. I'm looking forward to it playing out.

I think there's assigning blame, and then there's holding responsible. Sun may be blaming Jack to a degree. But I think the other person she is hold responsible must be Ben. No one else makes sense. He's the one who blew up the boat, and there's no reason she wouldn't know that. Maybe she has a long con in the works for Widmore, but I think he offer to join up to go after Ben is for real.

Man, I hope Ben doesn't force Sayid somehow to be the guy who whacks Penny. This occurred to me when I read a post above about Sun may be "The Economist", then I thought, no, why would she send a hit girl to kill Sayid? But in some dark horrible twist, maybe that's what they'll do: sun will work with Widmore to 'take care of' the 06. Eek.

I just have a hard time believing Sayid could kill Penny knowing how much she means to Desmond... Esp. since his own love,Nadia is killed.

I think if anything Sun and Penny end up working together to bring down their fathers. But if we are to put any significance to the black/white duality....Sun was dressed all in black when she had that conversation with Widmore.:eek2:

Sun was dressed in black, Ben was dressed in black, and "Check-mate Mr. Eko", was hurley winning with the black pieces. I don't remember well enough to say sayid was in black, he might have been in a deep blue, but interesting parallel's could be drawn between the light/dark duality they set up in season one.

Interesting!

I interpreted the scene as Sun offering Widmore assistance in Widmore's quest for the island as long as he helps her with their common foe... Ben.

I think Sun gives Locke up and Widmore offs him. One less flight 815er screwing up the balance of the universe.

I agree with you. Sayid changed on the island and then seemingly went back to his "old ways" when he returned, but motivated by revenge for Nadia's death. I can not imagine him killing Penny. Besides I think Ben killed Nadia to get Sayid to work for him. However, back to Sun. I think she wants to get back to island at all cost and get even with those responsible, including her father. It would be great if Penny and Sun teamed up. Go Sun!
