I know what you mean: Puh-leeze. How do you just, like , buy a tracking station? But Penny did say to Des in Season 2 that with enough money and determination you can find anyone. But for Desmond's sake, I'm thrilled to death she used her money this way instead of on Jimmy Chou shoes!

That's the kind of woman Penny is: She volunteers to drive wine cross-country. She agrees to live in a (relatively) dumpy apartment because it's what Desmond wants. She's the real deal, yo.

Granted, she made some minor life adjustments for Desmond. But she still lets daddy run her life. I think Sun is really the true hero by marrying Jin and then telling her father to basically go to ........

Do we really know if Daddy runs Penny's life.
He seems to be interfering with Desmond's relationship
with her, but does he interfere in other things?

If she knows what her dad did to put Desmond on that island,
I'd be surprised she still likes daddy-o at all.

I expect that Penny's independently wealthy.
