It was a great kiss. I was very happy for them. I also liked the one between Kate and Sawyer....

The sawyer/Kate kiss really got to me. I knew at that moment Sawyer was gonna jump.

The Des/Penny kiss was just perfect! Loved it!!

The entire Des/Penny reunion had me in tears, it was so perfect. I was even cool with the Sawyer/Kate, because it was Sawyer's farewell before doing something heroic (which, by the way, was amazing -- I am loving how much he's grown as a character these last four seasons!). But Des/Penny was what really got to me. Beautiful.

Desmond and Penny were so spectacular and so OTP! Thanks Darleton for delivering on that spectacular kiss!

I was SO happy that it was Des/Pen! I was so worried about Des, especially once the chopper crashed -- and when he not only survived but reunited with Penny.... *faints*

It wasn't actually the hyped spectacular kiss, but I agree it was wonderful and emotional and spectacular in its own right. :biggrin:

I think the spectacular part, if we're referring to Sawyer kissing Kate, was his jumping out of the chopper. THAT was spectacular. The kiss was routine and one-sided.

It was wonderful and emotional and bittersweet. And yes spectacular with Sawyer doing the noble and brave sacrifice out of his love for Kate and his concern for his friends.

Totally lived up to the hype and was a signature moment for one of the OTP's of the show.

As was Des/Penny's reunion BTW . I can't wait for Sawyer and Kate's one too.

I don't know. Sawyer and Kate's kiss for me atleast and the party of friends I watched the show with compaired to Penny and Desmond kiss was like compairing steak to chopped liver. One was Epic,romantic, sweet and beautiful and the other was no different then the one we see every other week between Sawyer and Kate just on an airplane but thats just me.


Anywho this thread really has nothing to do with skate. Its about what a true OTP couple is and thats Despenny :D

OMG!! It was soooo spectacular!!! I got goosebumps, I was not expecting this AT all.. and no it wasn't in any spoiler that I read... really I should never had read any but I am glad that they left this reunion hush hush.. maybe it was the secret scene.. who knows.!! go des and pen! :)

And i don't agree with the people saying that Skate kiss was nothing spectacular. Damon and Carlton saied right before the finale that it will be:

" CC: And were gonna see a big kiss a really big juicy kiss between two characters.

CC: And it's gonna be very good for people who are very involved with the Jack-Kate-Sawyer romantic triangle. You're going to see a lot more about that in this finale.

I actually love Des/Penny and The Constant remains one of my fave episodes of the season. Of course now that they've had their big reunion and there is still two seasons to go, it makes me wonder where they will go to next with those two.

I think that Des and Penny will go into hiding and will be facing scary things... together. I hope that they don't get separated again but I think there are interesting roads to take them down especially considering their connection to Widmore and by extension Ben and their precarious place in that war.

Per the kisses, though, I love Sawyer, but DesPenny beat kiss beat out the Skate kiss IMHO.

The skate kiss was hyped as the spectacular one as others have demonstrated, and it was spectacular for anyone who loves that couple (definitely me, and definitely NOT you Moj :23:), as well as for Damon and Carlton, who both labeled it as such.

That doesn't detract from the awesomeness of Des/Penny's kiss at all though, especially since it comes down to opinion. But putting the word "spectacular" in the title - you're just stirrin' up trouble, aren't ya? :23:

Sweety, I'm trully not trying to be a jerk with this, but enjoy their reunion as long as you can. Their problems aren't over: Ben said he'll kill Penny to avenge Alex. Desmond will die a thousand deaths to protect her. Hell, by the time Ben finds them (which is inevitable) there might be little desmonds runnin around.

Of all stories I have ever heard, I don't think I've come across a couple that truly deserve to live happily ever after more so than Des and Penny. Already said thinking about it, as Ben is doing something "noble" by avenging his daughter. I.e its not coldblooded. Such tragedy.

The love expressed between Des and Penny, even over the phone, is far more touching than it shoud be, great characters.

It doesn't trump their former scenes together, all scenes they have shared have helped build up this great love story, but this was different from everything we seen before (well, maybe not the "Sawyer will take a bullet to save Kate"-scene) because he made the ultimate scarifies not only for her but for all of his friends. And this time she saw it all happened. And so did Jack, Hurley, Frank and Sayid. Talk about that this former selfish con man have changed!

They have shared passion before, and fights and friendship. This time it was pure love. They only couple we actually seen share such tenderness before is Desmond and Penny and maybe Sun and Jin. That's what makes this time so special and spectacular.

The spectacular phrasing was over hyped I think they got confused with the Des/Penny one. It was still a great moment though I enjoyed it a lot with the little whispering in the ear and the whole sacrifice thing.

Both kisses were awesome, overdue and spectacular, but Kate and Sawyer's was more dramatic.

Des/Penny's was more emotional, but it should be since they've been apart for 3 years. When Kate and Sawyer reunite they'll have a similar kiss as well :)
