View Full Version : Sayid verses Keamy
Princeex86 05-30-2008, 12:20 AM was that the awesomest fight they have shown on lost so far? ex US marine verses ex Iraq republican guard. so many nice blows! and even after sayid stabs keamy, keamy was winning! thats the first one on one i saw sayid loosing since the pilot with sawyer! (and thats just cuz sawyer through sand in his eyes) but that was sweet!
anyone else have any comments on it?
wolffootball37 05-30-2008, 12:23 AM I nominate this fight as the awesomest fight of all awesomness fights! I was literally cheering!
GettinLost 05-30-2008, 12:26 AM Really great fight scene!! Two soldiers battling it out!
ManOfScience6 05-30-2008, 12:31 AM Yeah that was just an awesome fight scene. I was yelling at the TV "Beat his *&* down Sayid!!!"
workingmom 05-30-2008, 12:33 AM Best fight scene in Lost ever! Kill him with your feet, Sayid!
Amber the Hun 05-30-2008, 12:34 AM I agree. When it started I knew it would be epic. Battle of the bada**es!!!
Aversion 05-30-2008, 12:34 AM Sayid was lucky, it was a nice bit of fight action but Kearny is something like 6'7". Sayid was in the army but he wasn't special ops and with the huge physical advantage he was lucky the Others were there!
GodBlessTexas 05-30-2008, 12:37 AM Heh, don't you mean Sayid versus Keamy? Sayid verses Keamy makes it sound like Sayid read poetry to him, which is actually a rather funny mental picture. :D
LostLaura 05-30-2008, 12:50 AM Amazing fight scene. I think fondly back on Ethan kicking the crap out of Jack in ATBCHDI, but man this was amaaaazing. And I'm not a fight scene lover or anything. heh.
Chuckp123 05-30-2008, 01:08 AM Yeah, Keamy took a beating this episode. And after Ben killed him, I couldn't help but wonder: "Is the frequency from his pulse monitor going to leave the island on the correct berring?"
Selene1212 05-30-2008, 01:21 AM I was a little suprised that Sayid thought he was dead... Did anyone else think that the island had healed Keamy when he came down into the orchid?
Guinevere 05-30-2008, 01:28 AM Yeah, I thought the Island had healed Keamy enough to get him into the Orchid. And, who knows?? It might bring him back to life like it did Mikhail! He's probably wreaking havoc on the Island as we speak.
Exile236 05-30-2008, 01:32 AM That really was an awesome "Rumble in the Jungle"!!
Lost_In_Louisiana 05-30-2008, 01:53 AM Heh, don't you mean Sayid versus Keamy? Sayid verses Keamy makes it sound like Sayid read poetry to him, which is actually a rather funny mental picture. :D

I've gotten so used to overlooking spelling and grammatical mistakes, I didn't even consider how that misspelling changed the whole action sequence of that sentence!!! Oh, that's a funny visual ..... :D
I'd like to add my vote for BEST FIGHT ON LOST! I thought it was especially realistic too, since Sayid has been on an island, eating fruit & getting very little protein, and he was fighting a marine who's a foot taller and covered in body armor. He did an impressive job, but it was quite likely that Keamy would prevail.
AWESOME scene.
XxNicholeexX 05-30-2008, 01:59 AM Psh, I still think Sayid could have taken him if Richard didn't shoot Keamy.
I love Sayid and his awesomeness. He always extra amazing in finales.
spacepete19 05-30-2008, 02:25 AM My only complaint about this scene is that they were wearing clothes.
Bella 05-30-2008, 02:29 AM Some of us having been waiting for this moment for awhile.
100%
My only complaint about this scene is that they were wearing clothes.
Too true.
Remus Lupin 05-30-2008, 11:25 AM Psh, I still think Sayid could have taken him if Richard didn't shoot Keamy.

Nah, Sayid was losing. And that tells us that Kemay is the most badass badass ever seen on the show. He had a gaping STAB wound in his side yet he still beat down a magnificent badass like Sayid?? WOW, is all I can say!
And boy, the choreographed that veeery well! A truly admirable job. Awesome scene!
Pythagoras99 05-30-2008, 11:32 AM Psh, I still think Sayid could have taken him if Richard didn't shoot Keamy.

Exactly. The Others just wanted to steal Sayid's thunder. He was just about to reach up from behind Keamy with his feet, and snap his gigantic head off. I guess they had to save face, and not let Sayid have all the glory.
xanthateto 05-30-2008, 11:36 AM It was clearly the best fight scene since the show began. It was just so brutal, this is one of the few (only?) instances of fisticuffs where the combatants have actually been trying to kill each other rather than just subdue or inflict masses of pain. It was intense :) It was also pretty strange seeing Sayid losing to a psychopath like Keamy when we knew he was going to survive.
olympia325 05-30-2008, 11:42 AM Agree with all, that was an INTENSE fight scene. I bet that was fun to practice and film.
lostgurl 05-30-2008, 11:46 AM I just have to say that NA and KD were great in that scene. I was hoping it would take more than one person to bring down Keamy, he was just too BA to go down easy.
lipgloss_and_revolver 05-30-2008, 12:04 PM People on my house were alarmed by my screams and cheers for Sayid. My God.. Bestest fightscene everrrrrrrr!! :thud:
LostKuma 05-30-2008, 12:10 PM I was cheering and screaming too! That was an awesome fight scene. Although like I always wonder when watching TV or movies: Why didn't they check for his pulse to make sure he was dead?
LostMyMarbles 05-30-2008, 12:39 PM Sayid sure doesn't have a problem taking on guys who are bigger than he is . . .
Starting with Sawyer . . .
Eko!!!
Keamy!!!!!
born to dance 06-22-2008, 05:11 AM yes that fight scene was one of the best i've seen! So intense..brilliantly acted.
Ahhh Sayid what a hero!
Pythagoras99 06-23-2008, 01:25 PM A number of us had been fantasizing about a Keamy/Sayid battle and debating about who would win, but I don't think any of us expected it to happen -- especially after Sayid left the boat. So when Kate is running from Keamy, and then Sayid tackles him, it was like.... "how did that happen??? IT'S HAPPENING PEOPLE, IT'S HAPPENING!!!" lol
While I'm disappointed that Keamy got the best of Sayid, at least Sayid clearly proved , IMO, that Keamy's size and strength advantage, and armor and weaponry advantage were no advantage at all. It was only Keamy's nasty Jujutsu reversal move at the end that beat him. (Or maybe it was semper fu) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_Corps_Martial_Arts_Program)
MysteryFan 07-15-2008, 08:56 PM Yeah, I thought the Island had healed Keamy enough to get him into the Orchid. And, who knows?? It might bring him back to life like it did Mikhail! He's probably wreaking havoc on the Island as we speak.
I'd love to see more of Keamy - and that fight was spectacular.
The actor playing Keamy has the same attitude - the island may bring him back. Nobody ever knows with Lost!!
Here's a July, 2008 interview in his hometown paper, in Thunder Bay Ontario.

Merch 07-16-2008, 12:42 AM It was a well choreographed fight. Having said that, I'm getting pretty tired of Sayid and people bringing up his military experience. It's easy to be a BA when you have your opponent strapped to a chair or in a room or at gunpoint. He was a communications officer, not special ops, as has been said.
The guy can fight, don't get me wrong, but I was never on the Wagon of Sayid's Awesomeness. His stock rose when he was beating the tar out of "Henry Gale". Just raining down blows and a kick to the face. And then his stock ends up falling back down when he takes Michael, someone who sold them out granted, and exposes him to Captain Gault, a man he knows less about than Michael. Does that make sense? I expect him to make smarter decisions than that. Maybe it's the way the write for him, I don't know.
Good fight, but Sayid should have gotten a couple more punches in the face IMO
