After Kate had her dream about Claire, she went into Aaron's room and began crying. Saying over and over again that she was sorry. What do you think she is sorry for?

Yeah, the whole business with Kate and Claire really intrigued me. I felt like she was almost apologizing to Claire, maybe for being with Aaron whereas Claire isn't? Or is she apologizing to Aaron for not being his real mom? Hmmm...

But I don't think we're at the point yet where Kate is considering going back so I don't think it's that. But it will be interesting to see what happens when Kate realizes they do have to go back and Claire is telling her not to

Yeah that was a great scene, I was thinking Claire was going to turn around and scream "Your SON!?"

That was weird, I don't think we know what she's sorry for yet, up to this point Kate's been nothing but good to Aaron, it must be something else.

Scary scene. Yikes.

I think she was sorry for everything. She feels helpless, like no matter what she does she'll never be able to fully protect Aaron. That he lost his real mother, that Jack has abandoned him as a pseudo-father and uncle.... and she's sorry for Claire. :frown:

Sorry that Claire and Aaron can't be together. Sorry that they had to leave without Claire.

I kept expecting her to say, "I'm sorry....I have to go back." I think she realized after what Claire said that it was her destiny to go back, but she plans to follow Claires orders and leave Aaron behind. At least that what she plans now. But it sounds like every single one of them, including Aaron, MUST go back.

As we've seen Kate never took Aaron from Claire. Claire, whatever happened to her, left him in the jungle. A bunch of people have taken care of Aaron. Kate's the only one that has stepped forward and made him her responsibility. Because of the lie they are telling, whatever the reason, Kate can't announce that Aaron is not her child, hardly her fault alone.

In my book, Kate's allowed to be sorry that Aaron doesn't have his mother.

I think she is sorry for not going out into the jungle to look for Claire. Everything after that point on the island happened so fast and I think they got so caught up in everything else that looking for Claire didn't even cross their mind. In part 1 Sawyer said they looked for her for a day in the jungle but I wouldn't give up there. Someone should have stepped up and choosen to be in charge of the Claire hunt and if they couldn't find her by whenever then they have to leave. I just don't feel they gave much of an effort. I think Kate is sorry for that now.
