Do you think Juliet saw the helicopter land? I am guessing that tptb want him to think that Kate and company all died so that he that will be available in future seasons to seek out other romantic company.

I must say though, that as much as I love Sawyer and I love Juliet, I really hope that they don't end up seeking comfort in each others arms. That would just be too weird!

I assumed he thought they made it to the freighter and then went up/down with it. I'm just glad he made it back to the island. I was semi-sure he would, but the lingering doubt just about killed me. Now there's a hero! I don't care who he ends up with (just no Kate!) as long as he's safe!

Yeah I"m pretty sure that he thinks everyone is dead. He knew they were going to the freighter.

I don't think he's immediately going to take comfort in someone else's arms, but clearly there is the Juilet pairing that they are slightly hinting at at the end of this episode.

Remember Sawyer having sex with Ana? Yeah, it really happened. So, I wouldn't be surprised if something happened between the two of them, but it certainly could be weird..... I dunno, they are both good looking people. With Jack and Kate gone, they'll need to help each other and be leaders together.... hopefully they'll have good on-screen chemistry.

Yeah, he probably thinks the chopper went down with the freighter. They couldn't see it in the air from the beach when they looked and saw the smoke - probably it was out of visual range by then.

Looks like they may have been leading us to think that way. But we may find somehing else out as they begin to settle back on the Island.

I don't think Sawyer assumes anything.

He will wait and see if somebody comes back, and it will be Faraday's boat and he is going to explain the islanders what happened (space/time travel).

Sawyer asking if that was their boat and his reaction to Juliet's reply indicates to me that he thought they were dead at that specific point in time.
