Wasn't it just perfect?! It was the sexiest kiss of the night and so romantic. I was glad they showed us what real romance was tonight with them b/c other scenes were seriously lacking.

Desmond/Penny were amazing. Even though we really have only seen a few episodes devoted to their story, it's just been beautifully done and their reunion was so poignant and moving. The second Darlton said there would be a spectacular kiss, I instantly thought it would be DesPenny and I'm so happy their kiss delivered! :)

Well it did not translate that way on screen for me. I only saw the "spectacular" part with Desmond and Penny. We have seen skate kiss that way a million times and knew Sawyer was safe off the helicopter so to me it was just I don't know... the status quo between them.


Desmond and Penny blew their kiss out of the water and was the real "spectacular kiss" for me. And they atleast lived up to their hype for despenny and that I am grateful for. :D

And you would never know TPTB were talking about the triangle when you compair despenny to all the others. No couple compairs to Despenny imho.

I loved the kiss between Desmond and Penny. I think that maybe some of the hype was for that kiss and some was for the Skate kiss? But maybe it was all for Skate.

I liked some of Skate's kisses but not this one in terms of how it looked. Usually their kisses look better? I mean I'm a Jater and I love Jate kisses (obviously by my avatar! LOL) but I have appreciated the Skate kisses in the past. But anyway I still thought it was a wonderful moment for Sawyer and very like Indiana Jones or something like that.

That's how I felt the skate kiss was as well. Very one sided. The Despnny kiss was mutual and thus more romantic. Again though this thread should be about Despenny b/c they were the ones with the spectacular kiss and what I referred to in the opening post. :)

What motivations? Go check the Despenny ship. I have been a member there for a long time and have loved them even before the constant. Their kiss was spectacular and I made my opinion known.

Anyways, I don't need to defend myself. Despenny's spectacular kiss speaks volumes to me and I don't have to dislike Skate to feel it was the true spectacular kiss as did all the friends I watched the show with tonight.

Back on topic was everyone as shocked as I was we would get a reunion so soon?

I don't care if the hype by Darlton was for the Desmond and Penny reunion or for the Kate and Sawyer kiss lol. What transpired on the screen was something spectacular for Desmond and Penny and something meh for Kate and Sawyer. Darlton can say what they want about some hot and passionate kiss for those involved in the triangle, but they sure didn't back that up on the screen imo. Again though, it's pointless to argue this, so now that I've said my peace, I shall leave. :)
