I swear he was supposed to be in the episode. Also, what about Abaddon? We still don't even know which "team" he's on! I guess Walt isn't so important anymore, eh? It's a good thing the writers brought back Michael this season for a cumulitive forty minutes. Claire - dead or what? I guess the writers are just going to expect us to believe Desmond was lying about the helicopter that Claire and Aaron apparantly got on... and how did those flashes just randomly stop?!?! And Penny?!?! How did the telephone call in The Constant almost bring me to tears, yet the actual "reunion" lacked emotion?!?! Where are we supposed to believe Dan (and the zodiac) is? And, wow, moving an island. Huh? Sorry, I wasn't intending on writing all of that...

There were a couple of commercials that said that they shot 2 alternate endings to the episode, and you can watch them on one of those morning shows tomorrow. Maybe you'll find your missing actors there.

Well, Walt did say that "Jeremy Bentham" visited him, right? Sounds like he's still important.

I hate to say it, but I do agree with you about the Penny/Desmond reunion. I don't think I would have been satisfied with anything less than a full Desmond-centric episode devoted to the story of how they finally reunited. This just seemed kind of squeezed into everything else that was happening.

Absolutely. Squeezed in there between some predictable Jack'n'Kate crap. The writers sure know how to create some amazing "B" characters and then completely destroy their stories. Amazing...

I don't know, for as excited as I was during the phone call, I definitely showed more excitement tonight. My friends were making fun of me for the rest of the night because of how excited I get when I heard whatshisface say "Miss Widmore". I was ecstatic. Such an amazing moment.

I liked that it was so random and unexpected.

Unfortunately for me, I read the credits at the beginning of each episode and I know who plays Penny's character. When there are ten minutes left in the episode and we still haven't seen Penny... let's just say I "knew" it was her boat.

I saw her name in the opening credits as well, but then I was paying attention to what was currently happening and not thinking about what was coming. So when I heard "Ms Widmore" I was absolutely shocked. It was awesome.

I don't know that we'll see much of Abaddon....Lance Reddick is starring in a whole new series (that looks quite "LOST-ish") come September called Fringe.

EDITED TO ADD: Fringe is by J.J. Abrams, I might add.

When Frank saw the other boat, I knew it had to be Penny. Who else would just happen to be there in the area? I have to say that I thought the phone reunion was more emotional as well. This reunion was very sweet but that phone reunion just grabbed me more.

Where was Mr. Grunberg? If that was a foiler, it was a mean one.

i was pleasantly surprised,
i had a feeling in the back of my mind that it would be ole Zeke (Tom) and his stoogies ala season one....

and if all the questions were answered, what would they do in then next 2 seasons....

I had the same feelings towards the Des/Penny reunion....it just kind of happened and the emotion just wasn't there for me. The Constant worked cause of all the great tension....the "surprise" meeting didn't have that and fell super flat.

I would love it if you stopped watching this show , since it obviously brings you more pain than pleasure! Just sayin!

Lost may not be the right show for you to watch. You have to wait a long time for answers to some questions. It takes a lot of patience to watch and it's very complicated.

Personally, I loved the reunion.

The Grunberg thing was undoubtedly a foiler, maybe that'll teach those spoiler junkies, could rock bottom for spoiler junkies be when then can't admit they've been foiled?
As for the flashes it came to a head when he tried to leave the Island, he got sick and was able to contact Penny to fix himself, I could have swore that was obvious:)
The Dan and the zodiac thing is part of the cliff hanger season finale, your supposed to wonder what happened to him, it will help bring you back next season. I do agree with you about Michael, but remember they lost 2 episodes due to the writers strike we did get a Michael centric epi tho I did enjoy that, but felt it was lacking.

I'm afraid we're going to be left unsatisfied with Abaddon's story now since he won't be back much any more. He seemed to be one of the main bad guys (not sure which side) and now the writers are going to have to make his role more miniscule.

Don't forget though the same issue was raised when Nestor Carbonell(Alpert) was signed on for Cane and look how that turned out, I do however feel bad for Jimmy Smits, maybe Fringe will be as poorly recieved as Cane was, unfortunately for us JJ is involved in the show so chances are their will be alot of LOST fans, who fail to accept the boycott. Boycott Fringe we can only hope we're not screwed out of another brilliant character by the crazy world of TV.
