Everything around the island disappeared except the helicopter. They saw nothing but water. If Daniel was there they would've spotted him.

Amen. The last thing we need is this show to become even more soap opera-esque. Not to mention they already almost ruined Juliet's character with that stupid Ben/Jack triangle tease - thank the sweet flying spaghetti monster that didn't come to fruition!
