Hey Tramp, I really like your read on the whispers. It does really feel like we are moving to understand them on some sort of basic level, even if we haven't gotten an overt explanation. Having Hurley interact with the source would be pure awesome. And I agree - the Temple has to be the hub of it all.

One question - I swore I heard the word "Dharma" whispered during Kate's walk through the tunnel. This doesn't match any of Ticky's audio. Did I imagine this?
Whatever happens, happened ...sure sounds to me like a chance to rewrite the past... Desmond saw flashes, and saved Charlie... I can't remember... how long after his visions of the deaths did the event of Charlie's almost-deaths occur...? Daniel timed the temporal dilation as 31.18 minutes and I'm wondering why we have that precise tid bit of info.
Desmond said after the Swan implosion that he'd just heard Locke give a speech on the beach that Locke had yet to make...
"I was here moments ago..." like the guitar sticker ... some serious deja vu (already seen) or "waking dream" or cryptamnesia (memory issue)....
On the helicopter, Desmond has jamais vu (never seen) where he doesn't recognize where he is or who he's with despite having previously known... all memory issues related to temporal lobe epilepsy....

TLE = temporal lobe epilepsy ... temporal guys
So, the Whispers? most likely auditory hallucinations...
The Island? A moving hospital? An ambulance? Is the war between life and death?
Now that I think about it, Bea Klugh's questioning of Michael-- as to whether or not Walt had ever appeared to him to be in more than one place at once-- might have been more about Michael's ability/health than Walt's. And Michael didn't have the ability to see more than one Walt ... Shannon could , Sayid could, and Locke could.
The Whispers ... well they mention...Richard, Dennis, Nikki, Sarah, Sawyer, Elizabeth, Juliet, Shannon, and Michael... and talk about Shannon joining them on the other side and Sawyer coming to help them because they're gonna have to "do it again..." It almost or maybe it does sound like the actors and crew of the show making the show...not saying the real actors cuz I dunno how that would be interesting at all...lol... but since character names are maintained on both sides... one side seems to know more than the other, but doesn't trust "our side". I was just rewatching Namaste and Chang said the paperwork was all screwed up... because of what they were doing on the other side... He didn't say in Ann Arbor.

Hello everyone! It's been an adventurous year and a long time since I've had a chance to sit down and be on the forums. Good to see whispers being discussed by everyone and that Tickybox has taken on the deciphering duties these days.
I'll be hanging around the forums more often this season. I wish I still had the time to pitch in with audio work, but that definitely won't be possible for the next two months. However, if there's an incredibly huge moment in the show, you know I'll want to know what the whispers are saying as much as anyone!

hey thanks... yeah I sort of interpreted that she meant... you think Walt is asleep, but you look outside and he's playing in the yard, like that... or you thought he was on the raft, but he's appearing to Shannon and Sayid in the jungle.
I put this in the visual inconsistencies thread, but it illuminates what I mean, better than I can explain, how "I was here a moment ago..." fits in with the Whispers being echoes of what they're going to say...

As far as I know, I'm the only one who has the files since I rip the audio straight from the HD video file and do all the listening myself. There's no real place for me to host it either if others want it since the files are 1-2 gigs once I rip them.

Oh I see, do you mean 1-2 gigs for the whole episode? Since we'll only look at short 1-2 minute sequences it should be okay to edit the small sequence and transfer a small file, no?
